Okay, I’m gonna defend TSL just a little here. Regardless of whether you like his gossipy and opinionated take on things or not, IMO Dave is neither stupid nor unethical. I don’t agree with everything he says, and I frankly found his unexplained comments about Jason arriving at champs camp in “less than ideal condition” really annoying. But just because he can be annoying doesn’t mean he’s unethical. The truth is, none of us know what kind of injury Jason had this summer. We do know his Sun Valley footage looks great, and hopefully that bodes well for this season.

Then I'll just call him problematic at times. :) Like his comments about female skaters bodies. If I remember correctly, there were people not happy about something like that.
But what's important is that Jason is well, maybe Dave's source was not completely well informed.

What is this, "scold the Jason fans" week? No, Lease has made his living out of peddling half-baked rumours and gleefully spreading misinformation, and he very specifically has been spreading what is obviously a lie about Jason. We should be free to call that out.

Because unless my eyes deceived me, Jason posted a very beautiful 3A (titled "warm up") on his insta stories this morning, so Lease has absolutely been talking out his backside and deserves to be called out for it.

Anyone with eyes watching Jason's videos can tell this is not a skater who is "barely doing triples" and "in less than ideal shape" and struggling with the aftermath of a broken foot. This is a skater who looks in superb shape, ready for an Olympic season. This is a skater who looks more than ready to step up into his place on the Olympic team.

Karne, as you could easily have found out, Dave doesn’t make a living from TSL, he has a full time corporate job in health care. Does that make you guilty of spreading misinformation too, or does a different standard apply in your case?

Why are you so invested in defending this cretin? He literally just spent the last couple of weeks trying to convince you and all his sycophants that Jason's season was ruined and that he was hiding a serious injury and wasn't ready for the season, and you're somehow not frickin mad about that? Especially when the proof is now right in front of your eyes that he was lying, exactly like he's done before?

I don't do well with revolutions: is this truly a quad? During a *show* practice? Wow!

Pro tip, I'm trying to figure out how to say this: If you love Texas right now and plan on going there, you'll like the fan's IG stories. (and all praise to her for her Jason videos). Otherwise, I would stay out of her stories and depend on the Japanese Fan Club. ;)

And please, we can't talk about Texas here.:pray: I'm just trying to let folks know who might think they're only getting Jason content.

I don't count the revolutions very well either (and I'm DYING for Jason to have a clean quad) but this looks like a glorious triple to me. Someone please tell me I'm wrong.
 
I hate to burst bubbles but after squinting at that video for a while I am about 85% certain it's a 3T, not a 4T. I'm quite tired and stressed and sad today but with quick play-pause I can only count three. Its a very, very beautiful 3T that shows plenty of room for a fourth rotation but a 3 nonetheless, I think.

However, I am 99.9% sure that the axel posted on Jason's insta stories this morning was a 3A, so there's that.
 
Yeah it’s a 3T folks - as much as I love Jason he has a considerably longer set up into his quad. I would also rather he just stuck to the 4S considering he’s landed it twice in comp now rather than flipping back and forth between that and the 4T.
But he definitely showed a 3A on one of the practice clips, as well as the 3Lz and 3F, and many a split jump so I have to say he’s looking brilliant!!

Wow, to the surprise of everybody, he did indeed add that spiral to Melancholy as part of the artificial requirements of the "artistic" competition that was Peggy Fleming trophy 2020. Who'd have thought it, despite all the clues being right there for everyone to see. Certainly not me, assumption-maker, extraordinaire.

Well, since the Fan Fest is the safe space where we unironically love on Jason.❤️

For the most part I think we fans love the PFT as a comp where Jason can be Jason, no quotes on artistic necessary. ;)

and I for one hope that Jason adds a spiral every time he steps on ice, even if he’s just crossing the rink to end his session. The combination of athleticism and artistry involved in that move is stunning, and I will always love it. :)
 
The TSL shit-stirring continues ... Apparently Jason was only doing a 2A and 3Loop at Champs Camp - which doesn't fit with Jason a literal weekend later doing a 3A and 3F/3Lz plus everything else. Dave apparently thinks Jason should pull out of his earlier events..... I've challenged him on this in the comments - I wonder what his response will be!
Apparently there's footage from Champs Camp on TSL's patreon, but I am not willing to give them money to see it so.

I'm only going to talk to this one report from TSL, because IMO that is all that is relevant here.

Dave is certainly doubling down on whoever his "source" is. :scratch2: It isn't making sense given what we saw in Sun Valley. Plus, what early comps? Skate Canada is seven weeks away, and we don't know of any others.

I don't think Jason would be heading back to Toronto so soon if he was that injured either. Hmmmph.
