Who are the healthy skaters that are scheduled scheduled to go to Skate America? If Bradie and Amber don't attend, can skaters like Mariah, Karen, or Lindsay be added? They are the next highest scores from Nationals.
Mariah & Karen can’t be added because they already have 2 spots in other GP events. Lindsay can’t be added because she already did a JGP this season.

I guess, besides Andrews, Izzo and maybe Rydberg, the choices really could include Gold.

Cute, fluffy retrospective on Alysa on the Olympics website. Wish we got some new info though!
Alysa has a fluffy quality about her public aura haha. Or maybe I'm too biased bc her gestures/mannerisms resemble so much those of my little sister that is around her age (We have a gap of almost 20 years and I have learned to adore her silly jokes and cute expressions)

It's a bit underrotated, too, I think. Good for her, but I think consistency and confidence are more her problem, but it is what you need now to keep up with everyone else, it seems, so it's good still that she's trying to improve and get better.

It looks like on the edge of being <. That’s progress. Hopefully she’ll get the “snap” that she needs to get that last 1/2 turn soon.

I agree consistency should be the focus now. Clean programs delivered with confidence will go a long way with the judges.

uhhhhhhh did anyone know Starr was working on a 3A?!

because I certainly didn't see it coming. this season is going to be so good wow

Good for her to be trying it, but she's a bit like Amber Glenn (actually a lot like Amber Glenn) she has mediocre BOW with competitions, so for any shot at the Olympic team she's going to need to prove to be consistent on her other elements this season.

Yeah I feel like Starr's situation is very comparable to Amber's. Both have had only middling results and struggle with consistency. Having the 3A really helped Amber's reputation and position among the US women, so I'm optimistic as to what this might bring for Starr.

That looks more than a bit underrotated. Of course we don't have a great camera angle, but I'd say that would probably be marked a full downgrade.

Of course it's always a good thing to see an athlete push herself. So good for her.

yeah that looked 1/2 rotation short. IMO i wish Starr had changed coaches a long time ago, she seems to have maxed out her current potential with them quite a while ago. she's a skater that a triple axel won't help in the big picture, unless the rest of her skating improves. good for her for trying for one, it's a crazy hard jump. i just don't see the point.
