It's a real shame she won't be in JGPF.She did, Sofia won (will post her skate when they upload it to youtube). When she can't go to JGPF, she has shown she has a big chance to qualify for the junior worlds.

Those silly rules...It's a real shame she won't be in JGPF.![]()
Here is the free skate. 4T fall, but clean 4S and all the rest:

It's a bit perplexing because SS never bombs events and I think she's the second-best Russian Junior girl. Although it's close between her Petro and three of Plushies girls. It's a real shame she won't be in JGPF.![]()
Immediately after the victory at the Cup Sofia went to Denis Ten Memorial. She competes in the junior competition and finally landed 3A+3T combo. And then she messed her spinNevertheless, she is first after the SP:
Here is the scoring of Denis Ten non-CS competitions (juniors and pairs, seniors and ice dance were a CS competition): https://turnir.fdt.kz/data/281021/IC/index.htmUnbelievable! How many ultra jumps does she have now and what did she score?
Oh that right she was only in the junior competition there.
Thanks. Here is the scoring of Denis Ten non-CS competitions (juniors and pairs, seniors and ice dance were a CS competition): https://turnir.fdt.kz/data/281021/IC/index.htm
Sofia scored 215.59 and she did 3A in combo in the SP and 4T and 4S in the free.
That is frustrating and perplexing because she's better than petro and both Z girls. They are all fabulous and have their pluses and minuses.Beautiful performance, it's such a shame we won't see this at JGPF...
I'm expecting to see her and the other Sofia wreak havoc at senior RusNats! That is frustrating and perplexing because she's better than petro and both Z girls. They are all fabulous and have their pluses and minuses.
She is also the second best junior girl in the world. But there are a few girls in the mix for that.
I am excited to see how good SS becomes this season.
That would be very exciting and interesting but will the fed let that happen in an olympic season where they need to prop up the top Russian girls for the Olympic team?I'm expecting to see her and the other Sofia wreak havoc at senior RusNats!![]()
Havoc shall indeed be wrought, with a 3A, 4Lz, 4S and 4T planned in the free skate, according to this interview with Sergei Davydov:I'm expecting to see her and the other Sofia wreak havoc at senior RusNats!![]()
Sergei Davydov spoke about the content that his student Sofya Samodelkina will perform at the Russian Championship - 2022 in St. Petersburg. The skater's plans include three quadruple jumps: lutz, salchow and toeloop.
“And besides, we want to add a triple axel to the free. Since we have qualified for the Russian championship, we have nothing to fear. We must go out and take risks. You say that you can compete for the top three? It's possible. Sophia can.
Quadruple rittberger? Difficult jump. She does it, but we don't put emphasis on it. It's about the difficulty and the chance of success. We are all adequate people here, we must consider the likelihood and expediency. Mathematics tells us that it is better to do without a rittberger.
Sophia is not doing just a flip yet. And then we deliberately did not take it, since there is little sense. She does a lutz, which is more valuable. She has four quadruple jumps and everything is going well. "
Definitely. It will be interesting to see, as Scott suggested above, if they will try to hold juniors scores below seniors not to undermine seniors' self-confidence before Olympics..Havoc shall indeed be wrought, with a 3A, 4Lz, 4S and 4T planned in the free skate, according to this interview with Sergei Davydov:
