Jason Brown

As expected. This brings us back to where he was at Worlds last season. Hopefully the 4S looks as good as it did then, because that was a very excellent 4S in terms of height, distance, air position, and landing position, lacking only somewhat in rotation.

As for the uniform shoot: the jacket is awful, the jumper is nice though, Jason has a side career as a model beckoning.

He looks absolutely superb. Fit as a fiddle and on top of his game.

I am absolutely steaming mad about that PCS though. That's the sort of trash garbage I expect to see at US Nationals, not at an international.

I’m also steaming mad about the PCS. Someone explain to me how Nathan gets pcd anywhere near close to Jason.
Nathan is an amazing jumper but the rest of his performance is ‘meh’.

a) quads b) USFS favourite/politiking.

Never forget that after 2018 Worlds Auxier, as the head of USFS, outright stated that Chen and Zhou were the only two US men worth anything. Never forget this.

Team Cricket posted photos from practice on their instagram and Jason is seen with what seems to be tape or a bandage on his left ankle/lower leg. That could explain why he's been having trouble with the 3A because one lands on the left foot, right?

I think I'll forget something that happened 3 years ago. A lot has happened since then. I think in the last 3 years Jason has more than qualified himself as a top contender - maybe not the Gold Medal (although if they banned quads he'd be unbeatable) but always a contender. Sinnerman today was the best I've ever seen him skate the program. Judging will always be open to criticism as long as humans do the judging - and I don't know how a machine could ever judge figure skating. It just is what it is.

No, he lands jumps on his right foot. He probably just needs a few more 3As under his belt in competition to get them right. 😊

In an interview after Finlandia he did say he had lost several weeks of training time to an unspecified injury, and that was why he hadn’t done a 4S in the FS there. He does look much better now, and since he’s got a 4S in his planned program content for tomorrow, hopefully he’s pretty close to normal again.

I saw a photo with that bandage on his leg. It's probably still an issue, though perhaps a minor one. I thought he skated very well today. He just looks so different than everyone else. He's so polished and there is NO empty skating. And his jumps were clean. It wasn't the best 3A he's ever done, but it was adequate. They overlooked some qs on another skater, but they dinged him. It's the way it goes. I thought the score was fair. And I was happy to see Nathan looking more confident and comfortable on the ice. He looked worried all during SKAM. But for sheer great skating, no one beat Jason today. I wish he could land that quad really well and shut up the naysayers. But he's going to do this on his own terms and that's all the matters. Brian told him that something he did was brilliant. I didn't hear every word. And asked him if he was happy. They are so great with him. And so supportive. That was a great skate, better than Finlandia. It will keep getting better.
