Do practices start today (12/12) or tomorrow (12/13)? If anyone is lucky enough to be in Torino, we'd be ever so grateful if you can toss us some tidbits of observations from practice sessions!

These times are all EST:

Friday
Dance OD 12:45p
Men SP 1:50p
Pairs SP 3:05p
Ladies SP 4:10p

Saturday
Dance FD 8a
Men FS 9:15p
Pairs FS 2p
Ladies FS 3:20p

Also "backstage" pics at another site that I'm evidently not allowed to mention. :p

Still waiting for any practice reports from today. :)

Brian Orser: "She doesn't have to be perfect to win."

Well, Cup of Russia wasn't perfect in neither the SP nor the LP. If she had landed her 2A in the short, it's perfectly possible that she would have broken 200. Mao's personal best at Worlds last year wasn't perfect either - if she hadn't underrotated the 3T or double-footed the 3A, she may have broken 135 in the LP.

Yu-Na looks to be in terrific shape. I'm hoping all of the girls are in top form.

chuckm -- thanks so much for posting these times; but - I'm confused -- is the men's FS really at 9:15 pm EST or did you mean am?? thanks in advance.

I'm not chuckm but I'm pretty much sure that is a.m. ;-)

Also I heard they changed the order of pairs' and ladies' short programs. Can anybody confirm this information please?

Thanks for the practice clips. Miss YuNa is looking very healthy and fit.

I agree, YuNA looked in superb condition.....and sadly, Mr. Weir appeared to have shades of last year - and not fit; I'm hoping that isn't true.

Apparently Evan Lysacek also fell on a quad attempt during the men's practice.

Squinting among the bleak and nondescript black practice outfits...
I believe Johnny is focusing solely on the quad during the whole clip, and he can be seen falling on two of them toward the end of the rink.

Evan Lysacek tries a quad at the start of his SP run-through, and you can just discern his fall when the camera angle returns to include him again.

I was very impressed by Stephane Lambiel's last spin: so fast and centered!

Takahashi's triples (3Lp, 3Lz) look very good!

Patrick Chan does a nice slss down the center of the ice.

Kevin VDP completes a 3/3 w/o too much flow.

I wonder if Johnny will bother with the quad since he's not managing a high success rate in practice, and apparently he's having foot problems (possibly due to the quad).
