Jason Brown

I'm in the same time zone as Jason. It started at 5:30 AM this morning, so it's not too early. I imagine that he was watching. It's Saturday, he's probably got a light schedule or even the day off. It was a tight finish, but the Battle of SL continues in Japan. Very happy indeed! Tracy and Jason go to Tokyo!

Also. after Semenenko's flop at Short, I believe he knew already the answer yesterday. He had 99.9% probability of making it to GPF. So maybe he didn't feel a need to get up very early. I guess when he checked it he enjoyed! I'm so happy for him!

I had a blast at IdF watching Jason's performances.
It was even more interesting to sort of compare my impressions between Finlandia Trophy and IdF. I think that despite both programs being already used in the past, both are perfectly imho illustrating why Jason is so beloved and for what traits. Watching Sinnerman live is AN EXPERIENCE - there's just such artisanal quality to everything Jason does, how choreography highlights the music and how Jason manages to make the music sing louder by his movement and performer's attitude. At the same time, it's perfectly balanced, there's never a sense of this program being too overwrought or with too little fine tuning put in there.
As for Schindler's List - while I agree that the OG version revibrates with me stronger, I understand that Jason isn't stuck in one place and that the program will evolve alongside with him.
I had a great time cheering for Jason with my US signed flag which was often shown on the stream (yup, that's me :)). And it really made me smile to see him lit under people's support, that smile and appreciation.

Thanks those are great photos! That ice looks a mess. I saw you many times with the flag. So happy he did well.

If Japan chooses not to allow the skaters to enter the country, they will most likely move the event to another location. Every week this pandemic causes twists and turns and unpredictable situations. It's perpetually moving parts. If they do allow the event to take place, it will be under strict control, I'm sure.
