Agreed! The announcer said the arena shook at the moment when yuzu's performance ended. It really must have. Shoma is really a lucky guy to see such a scene at Nationals. Such an experience makes him stronger.

VERY interesting on the mental aspect versus the physical. I feel for him (and other skaters too!) though, because I've seen him at competitions live where his ankle is bothering him, and sometimes the ankle didn't hold his weight. So that's kinda scary to know you're gonna jump and there's a really good chance you're going to fall -- and yet you can't do anything about it! The difference that I thought I saw today was that normally he goes charging into a lot of his jumps. He seemed a little more cautious and controlled today, and maybe that's not necessarily a bad thing...So proud of him for his mental toughness.

That’s true no skater wants to fall. It doesn’t matter how much experience you have because sometimes it just happens. No skater is perfect. I think Shoma will be just fine in the free skate. He is tough and will fight through it. Just gotta keep on believing in him and don’t have any doubts. He’s got this! 🙌🏻

I mean, he's starting at number 23 (2+3=5), fifth in the final group at 20:55, of course he can do five quads!

If Hanyu's fans are playing with numbers like this, I don't see why I can't do the same thing, lol. 😛

Just about time for the men to start. Another 4 hours or so until Shomajesty skates. Come on Sho! You can do it! Looks like he had a decent practice from what was posted up above. Finally found the schedule translated into English. It was making me crazy not knowing who was skating when! :biggrin: Sending lots and lots of positive vibes to Saitama! You got this Sho! Do your best! :points: :pray::pray::ghug:

I already cried with Wakaba yesterday. Go! Latter group of Men! Wish all skaters can perform so that they are satisfied~.

Shoma!!! It was an incredible skate. I could not believe you had an injury. What a strength. And the program is magical!:cheer:
