I miss her. My wife and I watched her tonight while re-watching 2018 SA Everett, a comp I attended. I know about the dislocated shoulder and then the car crash.....has she had any other injuries? Best wishes, Marin, where ever you are.

I love her skates at SA 18', it's so nice you got to her and other skaters live! I can't tell you about all of her injuries (she like sadly many skaters had many of them) but if you're asking why she's quite possibly retiring this season, it's probably a mixture of multiple things. For example; injuries, wanting to focus on university/ other career choices (like the Youtube channel she has with her sisters/ maybe some broadcasting), the pressure from JSF/ media/ sponsors, switching to Rafael ended up not so good either, and the lack of technical content (like 3A/ backloading/ quads), also there've rumors that her work ethic wasn't the highest, but after Mia Hamada and her camp was exposed for not having safe and healthy environment, I don't know it we should truly believe that. I think because of numerous problems her career ended up like that, but she gave us a lot of great programs and performances, and for me, it's enough and I hope she also appreciates what she's done throughout the years

Guys! We're so close to Nationals, just less than a week!!! My hope is for Marin to qualify for a long program and have two clean-ish programs that she will be satisfied with <3

MARIN QUALIFIED FOR FREE SKATE That had to be one of her goals for this competition, so proud she made it! She scored 55.73; 3S-3T, 2Lo, 2A. Shame about the loop, but happy that she jumped a triple-triple combination.

Marin has earned in the FS 100.80, a total score of 156.53 Congratulations Marin, while these were not performances she wanted probably, I'm glad she fought and performed till the very end and I hope she feels proud of herself, I was happy to see her smile after the skates

Hey everybody!
Just wanted to leave this here as I could not find info on this here in this thread.

My journey started when I picked up a line in a forum somewhere saying that Marin made a mistake but "they" (JSF?) should get over it and support here more (something link this, not an exact quote).

I was curious what "mistake" that was. First, I found out about the car accident, but they were not even driving themselves, so that wasn't it.
Maybe the poster thought about the US-story that you all discussed here as well.

But I also found a little piece on tumblr:

marin honda gave the wrong music for her free skate, so she had to improvise a program with all required elements on the fly. according to a tweet, the music was for a program stéphane lambiel choreographed in march that they’d considered for a free skate, but no jumps or spins were ever added. she didn’t remember much, so she had to adlib.

So I finally found the video and it's amazing! That must have been such a once-in-a-lifetime-thing and definitely made me a fan. (And she should get more choreo like this - not impro, but in Switzerland)
