Yes, I did not even chance my predictions yet. I will just wait until deadline is near and hope that there won't be more.
I am very sad for Misha. His skating is a highlight of any event, really, and the White Crow program was just something else. I do hope we see it at Worlds. I’m so sorry this happened to you, Misha :(

On a separate note - since it is not possible to comment in the predictions thread - with the first and last event being two weeks apart and so many chances for further WDs once the competition has started, maybe it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to have two or three separate competition threads for Olympics.

I thought this would be a good idea, especially since then we could change our predictions after seeing how the Team Event goes ;)

The first alternate in ID: Khudaiberdieva/Bazin. They tested positive today.
Never happy that someone got sick, but this actually gives me a tiny bit of peace of mind because now I know they probably couldn’t have gone anyway had they been chosen for that third spot.

Ok, so in order to avoid possible manipulation, we do team+men+ whatever the third event is (dance?) and then the final two as a separate tournament. :P Whoever is in charge of the predictions thread, please consider.

Russia's laxity when it's come to COVID has not bothered me at all, but it's crazy not to step things up before the Olympics. The bubble should have began right after Europeans and before Europeans they should have had daily tests for the skaters and everyone around them. If half the Russian team ends up getting COVID then whoever organized this bubble needs to lose their job. You can only say "there's nothing we could have done" if you don't do everything you could do.

Eteri for some odd reason is having 2 junior skaters enter the bubble who are not even eligible for the Olympics. After Europeans, Valieva and Scherbakova were doing PR shoots.

TBH, there should have been at least 2 bubbles... probably one for Eteri.

I have vain hope the Eteri''s team doctor is giving the girls prophylactics that will prevent them from getting it.

I couldn't agree more

There's a report out that a member of Mishin's coaching team has also tested positive.
Yes, according to Sport Express
Also there's a mention that there was NO bubble for the skaters in Krasnoyarsk??? RusFed... I knew you were stupid, but this is a new low. Anyone responsible for that should be fired immediately.

That's what floored me too. How did they NOT bubble the team? Wasn't it the whole point of pre-Oly camp??? I am literally unsure what to hyperventilate about now.
