Team medals delayed by legal issue

Very weird.

At first I thought maybe they were just delaying it because of Zhou and close contact rules... but they're talking about "legal issues" of participants. There must be something significant going on behind the scenes for things to go this squirrelly

Doping? But, in figure skating that seems unlikely, possibly one of the pairs teams? It doesn't feel right to speculate. How strange and worrisome because if everyone on a team loses their medals due to the action of one person that's really saddening.

Thats part of team sports, see it all the time in track, 1 leg of the relay cheats then the entire team loses the medal.

Seems one of the ROC skaters flunked a doping test.

This is an interesting one. Relay teams have lost medals for this, but hockey teams have not. I guess sorting that out would be the "legal issue"

I feel like everytime drama happens in figure skating, everyone speculates it's this really big thing but then it turns out to be really mundane.

Anyway, here's how Canada can still medal. (I'm just kidding)

Anyone unaccounted for in practice?

Agree with this and it's the right thing to do, but it doesn't mean it's not saddening.

Well if this were the case, if they only DQed the person/team, ROC would still get bronze.

Yeah, but they're 21 points ahead of Canada. The most points they can lose is 20. Even if you added 2 points to the Canadian score to adjust for the DQ, that would only be enough if Kamila DQed. (I think, anyway)
It depends. If this is a long investigation like the State sponsored Pee lab, there could be other consequences. If someone is operating "rouge" doping or takes the fall, then you are correct.
