Doping? But, in figure skating that seems unlikely. Unless possibly, one of the pairs teams? It doesn't feel right to speculate. How strange and worrisome because if everyone on a team loses their medals due to the action of one person that's really saddening. What the heck? Seems one of the ROC skaters flunked a doping test.
This is an interesting one. Relay teams have lost medals for this, but hockey teams have not. I guess sorting that out would be the "legal issue"

Agree with this and it's the right thing to do, but it doesn't mean it's not saddening.Thats part of team sports, see it all the time in track, 1 leg of the relay cheats then the entire team loses the medal.
Well if this were the case, if they only DQed the person/team, ROC would still get bronze.Seems one of the ROC skaters flunked a doping test.

Wait, are skaters required to leave after their event? Some skaters in the men's competition are due to finish their events Thursday and leave China soon after.
Yeah, but they're 21 points ahead of Canada. The most points they can lose is 20. Even if you added 2 points to the Canadian score to adjust for the DQ, that would only be enough if Kamila DQed. (I think, anyway)Umm but Russia made no substitutions so theoretically they would have to remove both segments
... Ice dances hasn't had a practice yet.
It depends. If this is a long investigation like the State sponsored Pee lab, there could be other consequences. If someone is operating "rouge" doping or takes the fall, then you are correct.Yeah, but they're 21 points ahead of Canada. The most points they can lose is 20.
