My question still stands, why would they do it, if the medication is more or less useless with an ad hoc administration? The risks outweigh benefits by a mile. If TeamTut were so reckless, Shvetsky so incompetent etc - surely they would have get caught earlier?

Not many people seem worried that (or angry about the Calalang situation which is... unjustifiable. Only athletes and those around them (and fans) were hurt by that.

Presumed guilty would be presuming that an athlete was doping without the results of a test.

The results of a positive test are sufficient under the WADA regulations to find "guilt" (not that those are the correct terms here). Concern for all parties affected, not just the athlete whose sample was positive, from what I can tell, undergirds the system.

Yes I thought about it. Possibly he messed up again, but I always thought of Eteri as very calculating and smart, how would she allow her team doctor doping her best athlete shortly before one the most important doping tests in their lives? With medication that has zero or little effect if administered only occasionally? (as Kamila's previous and later clean tests suggest it was).

Like I said, I want to find a reasonable motive but I just can't, it just does not add up. Why would TeamTut and Kamila risk all they have in such an absurd manner? No one questions this, as if it was totally irrelevant. Meanwhile establishing intentions, motive and causation is fundamental in any criminal trial, why is it disregarded now?

There is still every chance that the medals get stripped after the fact. It was not a ruling of innocent.

It was more of a "you are a minor and thinking is hard so go compete while we gather our thoughts."

I'm fully aware of the situation. I've read the CAS ruling.
I thought that lifting her suspension was their mistake. Hence my reaction.

Not really, I am afraid.

You come into my house and take my money. It doesn't matter what your motivations or intentions were, you came into my house and took my money. I don't know or care why you did that, if a prosecutor can prove you did it, you broke the law.

And if you are a wealthy billionaire and don't need my money, that's not a defense and doesn't throw doubt on the fact that you did it. Not having done it is the defense.

I wonder do ppl really think that Eteri (who coaches 10+ girls personally, 2 groups at least, may be more, plus younger kids) personally decides what medicine each girl take, for what purpose, etc? That she has enough knowledge to decide what medicine to take?

I doubt that she even tracks their physical training, there are other people doing it.
She probably just say 'work on you endurance' and that's it.

I didn't think it was the draw, I think it is qualifying for the final. An extra skater will qualify for the final.

Rather than advancing 24 skaters to the free program, they'll advance 25. There's no "new girl." It just means that one more of the existing field will get to skate again.

This decision was reached so that if she is ultimately disqualified no one can make the claim that another skater was denied entry to the free program.

You're right about the other matter. If she medals, there will be no ceremony. The IOC isn't giving her a medal until the issue of her eligibility is cleared once and for all.

And why would she agree to bring her grandfather into this mess? Someone probably told her that this is the best outcome for her. Only it´s a lie and she´s not aware of it
