Good luck to Nastya at the winter Olympics in Beijing! I don't know what to expect from her other than beautiful skating. I hope team Georgia somehow makes the final 5 in the team event.

This has been a season of career rebuilding for Nastya. If she has good health next season I hope to see her PCS and scores jump up significantly.

Do I understand correctly that there will be no fans in the arena? :( These amazing and beleaguered from coronavirus fatigue athletes need all the cheering they can get and it's a shame they won't even be able to have a 1000 people in the arena to create some kind of ambiance and excitement for them.
 
A really a stellar performance for Anastasia. the best short program of her whole career and it only gets a 67 with a butchered PCS. You knew it was coming it's like a political race or professional wrestling when you know what's going to happen ahead of time no matter how well she skates. Just like with the team from Georgia being held out of the team finals. I would like to hear Anastasia and the Georgia figure skating federation publicly complain about her scores and ridiculous PCS and and the team event funny business as nicely as possible
because that's the only way it will ever change. But I don't expect that to happen and it would be risky business because Nastya may all of a sudden gest positive right before the ladies competition.

But Nastya had fun and skated wonderfully and hearing Olympic champion Olympic champion Tara Lipinski go on about what a beautiful skater Nastya was great to hear. But then a 67 and a joke PCS of 30 came up. :(

Anastasia will have to wait in a bubble what 10 days for the ladies competition? I hope she can have some more fun and work on her programs. But that's a long wait.

It was all done with her PCS score of 30.66 when it should have been at least 33. Karen who is also a beautiful skater had a very rough skate but still had a PCS over 3 points higher than Nastya. It's the best skate of Nastyas career and was very deserving of a pcs score like 33. holding her PCS down was intentional and caused Georgia to not make the team event when they're a better team than Canada and especially China. Oh yeah but most of the Georgia team was born in Russia. ;) The corruption is real and damages the great sport of figure skating which is one of the few sports I still give a damn about.

Yes Nastya suffers because Georgia is considered like the 3rd or 4th team of Russia. Maybe the judges see Nastya as someone who did not succeed in Russia. And yes Anastasia has been held down a lot score wise and pcs wise over the years. She is like a rookie as a senior skater for Georgia and I'm OK with her having to earn her way. But she needs some help when she skates flawlessly like in the Olympic team short program.

I only want her scores to go up when deserved. I don't want to bring down anyone else's scores. Where Nastyas scores get suspiciously damaged is with the PCS. That's not right or fair because Anastasia has a high level of artistry, musicality, interpretation and skating skills. I call that the grand slam of figure skating skills. A skater Nastya is similar to skill wise and PCS ability wise is Karen Chen. Karen is a beautiful artistic skater and I'm good with her pcs scores. But judges always have her higher in every category like components, interpretation, presentation, spins etc. than Nastya. Karen may very well be better than Nastya in all those categories. the judges clearly say so. Karen has been around for about 5 years has a great reputation with excellent skating skills lots of artistry and her amazing spins and was 4th at worlds last season. Impressive for sure. But I think the PCS gap between them should be closer and it will be interesting to see next season if Nastya can close the PCS gap on Karen. I will also be very interested to see them skate in the olympic ladies individual event and see where their scores are at. Especially PCS wise. At some point Anastasia will have to close the PCS gap on Karen and Loena if she is to ever climb the rankings potentially into the top 10 of world standings in a year or 2. I mean a PCS of 29.17 when Nastya skated a flawless European short program or 30.66 when she skated even better in the Olympic team event short program is not going to cut it for Nastya if she's ever going to become big time or make the top 10.

Good luck to her in the Olympic ladies competition. The competition is very deep. Making the top 10 would be an excellent achievement for Nastya in a season of rebuilding her career. Even just making the top 15 would be respectable.

That was a wonderful SP from Anastasia. How is that not over 70 points? Not only was it not over 70 points it wasn't even close to 70 points. She got 65.40 but they really clipped Nastyas wings in PCS again and her tech score was below 35 which is hard to believe. And the judges are telling us this was a couple of points worse than her SP in the team event which was equally fabulous to this one. Lol.

Looking forward to Nastyas free skate. I like that music and dress even more than her short program music and dress which is fabulous.

Thank you. I love it when she makes the heart sign out on the ice. I don't remember Nastya doing that before the olympics.

I would like to have seen her higher up in the top 10. Her PCS of 30.97 was too low. I'm not saying her PCS should be close to Anna or Kamilas 38.0 PCS range but it should be a couple points higher than it is.

Its still a sweet accomplishment for Nastya to make the top 10 in the SP. Nastya seems so happy. The Georgia figure skating federation deserves thanks because they saved Nastyas career from going on the scrap heap.

Good luck to Anastasia in the free skate. It's a free skate of beautiful music a beautiful skater and a beautiful dress! :)

It is amazing to see Nastya at the Olympics because a year ago I pretty much thought her career was over. She has had two fabulous short program skates at the Olympics. Now we get to see Nastya in that beautiful grey dress skating that beautiful free skate.

I would love to see her make the top 10 at the Olympics but it will be hard because the competition between 5 and 15 is just so tough.

Hoping Nastya hits that first 3 - 3. If she does she should have an excellent free skate and she even has a second 3 - 3 towards the end of the program.

Very nice words about her mother. I'm sure her whole family was thrilled.

I thought all 3 skates should have gotten higher scores and higher PCS scores.. But Nastya broke 200 points which is an incredible achievement since that's always been such a struggle for her. Honestly her breaking 200 points is like Anna breaking 250! ;)

I hope worlds does not get canceled and that nastya could show 2 wonderful skates and gain more invaluable experience which is what she needs to close the gap on some of these girls like Loena and and young and Wakaba.

It was so great to see her at Olympics (although PCS were a complete joke, I couldn't believe they put her behind Mariah and Alyssa).
