Anna Shcherbakova

Morning practice was more or less fine for Anna, did 4F+3T, popped the other 4F, otherwise quite good (other: Kamila clean runthru, Sasha had some difficulties). None of the three girls go to the afternoon practice.
what about the 4LZ I guess 3 quads isn't happening. maybe two if she can land them.

Anna is the most clutch skater Russia has ever produced. Congratulations becoming Olympic champion.

But my heart breaks for sasha and KV for different reasons. I hope they can all go home soon and get the rest they need.

Anna is drama free that's one of her greatest qualities and while all the controversy was flying around she just stayed calm and did her thing.

The only thing warming my heart from those Olympics is Anna raising to the occasion and grabbing the gold. The mental pressure on her was no way less and, yet, she fought until the end. Also, drawing the parallels to Medvedeva from the last Olympic cycle, I think that Anna really went with trusting her team to 100% (even though they were training 2 another exceptional athletes) and it paid off.

Anna did as she said after Russian Nationals, she skates and others decide. She did her job in both the SP and FP, everything else is out of her control.

Of course she keeps it classy and tries to avoid drama at all costs, but I sincerely hope she is also able to enjoy this moment because it is hers and she earned it.

I can´t believe that Anna is Olympic champion now. :love2: I still remember the time, when she turned senior and so many people said she was the weak link of the 3A. She has had such a difficult season, and then she showed this amazing skate, when it mattered the most. She is such a fighter and I´m so proud of her.
I was really sad that she couldn´t enjoy her victory at all due to the breakdowns of Kamila (understandably) and Sasha :rolleye:
I really hope that with time Anna can be happy with what she has achieved, because she deserves it so much.

Anna with her Bing Dwen Dwen.

Congratulations to her! I can't quite believe that the tiny slip of a girl I first saw competing on the JGP, skating a programme about playing in the snow, is now here, on top of the Olympic podium. Well, well done to Anna!
