2021-22 Russian Local Events

Sasha Samarin just wrote in his telegram that he won't skate the FS tomorrow. :( Since I don't have a TG account I can only view the channel previews, so I am not sure exactly how TG works. Do people leave comments/reactions on these posts that just cannot be seen without an account? To me all these channels look like long monologues at the moment.

Yes, through senior nats and some other comps.

-2 rule is intended for small comps. There're also some rules about the number of judges and triple jumps. And the competition should be among the masters of sports. (IIRC)
 
With the way things are going I'm beginning to lose hope I'll ever see the current generation of Russian skaters skate on international ice again. So I'm saying a little goodbye to them every time I get the chance to watch them at some local comp, because who knows how long before youtube will be blocked? That makes these withdrawals twice as sad. :cry:
 
Hi! I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but I have a housekeeping question: I check this thread every once in a while to see if there's a comp I could be into, land in the middle of some live chat, skip ahead by 10 pages, miss the information I would have been interested in.

For next season, do you think this thread could be split in two instead:
1) Russian Local Events - General Info
2) Russian Local Events - Live Chat

Sure, that's a really good idea! I also often find myself looking for a link to some results or protocols of a past competition and having to dig through the thread. Maybe you can post a short reminder when the thread is created, just so that this idea is not forgotten about. In principle, I'd be ready to take care of the thread again next season, but one never knows what life has in store, so :shrug: . But somebody will do the thread(s) for sure!

I had to take a sick day on Thursday/Friday, b/c of family illness, and there is something I with a pressing deadline that is very important. Plus, mom is coming tomorrow night & I am taking next th-fr off too to watch FS with her, so it’s best to get a head-start.
 
Well, I must admit that I didn't expect Dasha to do super well here, considering this is her first competition after her injury and she has struggled with inconsistency even before that, but this was still hard to watch 💔
