can you imagine being the uncontested best junior in the world and yet not JGPF, no WC and too young for Nationals by just a week?It is relative to other skaters (esp. other Sofias), who also lost JGPF but at least skated at senior nationals. Now they all lost junior worlds.

April Sunday, but it's a pity that it's not very sunny hello!The competition season is over. Once again, I want to thank the coaches for their patience, attention, and great contribution to my results. To my loved ones – for their unconditional love and support. Fans - for their warmth and trust. And figure skating – for bringing so much good and important things into my life. There is time to take a bit of a breather before preparing for next season, but it's going to be a busy month.
That her season is already over is so frustrating because it's like she barely had one.

A lot of these phenomenal Russian skaters are having their careers altered for the worse for nothing they have done. It's tragic. It's also ridiculous that this phenom was not at Russian nationals at at 14 years old when that's the age that Anna won her 1st Russian title.
And if the stupid ISU raises the age limit to 18 by the next Olympics and they keep that stupid July 1st cut off date SA will lose out again big time. I am so sorry for her.

Sophia always chasing the age limit is a nightmare to me.

Of course. Always chasing the age limit is an interesting way to put it. It's frustrating. And the other junior girls from Russia she is associated with will be skating senior next season whether it's domestically only or internationally remains to be seen. But that will be invaluable experience for them that SA will not get for another year.

if the age limit raise passes shouldn't she be fine? the proposal states the age wouldn't actually be raised until 23-24 and will stay the same next season. the skaters who turn senior next year will be "grandfathered" in, so we really won't see the full effect of the age raising for several years.

She was there in Krasnoyarsk today.I wonder why Sonya is not taking part in the exhibitions... not that she had any Junior Worlds to win...
