A couple times it looked like he lost his centering on a spin or twizzles but I think that's to be expected at first, especially since he twisted his ankle.
Yes! I also noticed. Apparently he changed his blades (they still are made by the same manufacturer, but different type) and is still working on his boots (his boots worked perfectly last season so he needs time to break and adjust them to the softness that he needs now), so it may also affect his accuracy.

The news about the boots was in his Nowvoice:

The different blades:

Wow thanks so much for translating and sharing!!

As a new fan, I am honestly amazed by how talented and knowledgeable Shoma fans are at translating, making art, editing videos, and analysing the skating, the music, the expression. So grateful for the generous souls who share what they observe, interpret and create, so we can all appreciate Shoma even more!

Fellow Shoma fans, I am your fangirl lol 😆.

Yes, I posted the link to that Now Voice on the previous page. My first thought was "Oh no! Get the boot/blade issues cleared up now!" It must be scary jumping (and doing other things for that matter) when you don't know if you're going to have trouble with wobbly landings, etc.

Thank goodness for Demi-san and his tender loving care of his ankle...Speaking of Demi-san, does anyone know if he is paid by Shoma or paid by JSF? I've always wondered. Shoma is given funds by JSF, so maybe that's how he pays him? Money well spent IMHO. Heck, even the puppies love and appreciate him! LOL.

Home again? Practice, practice, practice. Sho skating briefly at 2:00. Adding -- Oops, I see that's not his home rink, not with KOSE being advertised. Glad to see the 3-jump sequence and 3A looking good.

You're welcome! However, I still don't think I'm very knowledgeable about Shoma, I just care a lot about Shoma. (And I only have a lower-intermediate knowledge of Japanese.) I have to really give credit to Hronop, professor of Shomology, and Arriba, assistant professor of Shomology. I am a mere undergraduate student of Shomology compared to them.

I am a fan of Shoma fans as well, for the most part. They are genuinely kind and welcoming people who tend to respect other skaters as well. Being among them simply feels right to me.😊

If I was in the ShoDepartment I would be running around like a child in a sweet shop. And security would have to carry me out kicking and screaming at closing time!!
I think I'd just be staring at the pictures of him as if they were works of art...oh wait, Shoma is a work of art. 😁 He is a living, breathing work of art. 🥰

Ascending the stairway to Sho-heaven.

I’m sorry it’s a kind of my diary.

30th June

I ascended the stairway to Sho-heaven.
It was not a day of Shoma’s event.
I could meet fellow fans and they all looked happy and busy taking Shotographs.🥰

2nd July
I went to DOI first time.
I really enjoyed the shows because almost all the programs were very new and first time to see.
I was surprised that Shoma was the last performer of the show and I could understand the reason after listening to Now Voice.
Thank you Nathan.😭
Sho Gravity was getting better and better compared to PIW.
Shoma was so kakkoii. :love2:
I had the banner and I asked two ladies next seats to wave it.
They were happy to help, because they like Shoma, too.

5th July
I use Mizuno Uno bottle in my office.
My college said, ‘Why is it UNO?” “Card game UNO?”
I only said, “It’s a collaboration product. Because I am otaku(オタク).”
He googled and just :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: and said “Uno kun is cute like a puppy.”
If you don’t understand “otaku”, please ask yuumagical and Vilya.

Thx for writing your diary! You had a couple very exciting days! So jealous that you were able to see all the new programs at DOI. Gravity is looking great!...I love the definition of "otaku" that says "a person who has hobby-related interests that might be considered obsessive"! :dbana: Sounds like a Sho Super Fan!

Yes, Nathan is a good guy. My friend's friend won a personal Meet and Greet with him and said he is a really, really nice guy. I saw some of the photos and video clips they took of him, and he just seems like an ordinary guy, albeit an Olympic gold medalist. Their prize included a poster signed by all the cast members.

I can also confirm that Nathan is a cool guy. 😎 I gave him an otter plushie after Skate America 2021 and he said thanks. He then hung out with some of his fans for a little while. I was tempted to hang out with them too, but I had one more gift to give to a skater, so I had to wait for them to come out of the secret exit...(I had already given Shoma his special gift by this time. 😊)

I have to translate Demi-san's words here.

"Shoma's last performance was completed safely!
His ankle also feels good!
We can look forward to the next practice!
As for me, I guess I helped!?"

I always agonize about how to translate stuff (which is why I don't translate very often), but this news seems good to me. 😊
Thank you, yuumagical for the translation.

Found this video on youtube, maybe it's new to some of you. Finally some interview with english subtitles 😃 plus, some very beautiful slo-mo 🤩
