I don't understand why Ashley is only ONE point ahead of Hacker. She has much much harder jumps.... She's robbed again.

I really think this contest is a 'let's keep Ashley down'. She is not a ballet-like skater and most fans will not accept another style. Hacker is that ballet-like style. This is good experience for both of them.

Despite the two falls, that was lovely. That was her best international showing in a LONG while.

Into second overall with 152.67, just ahead of Ashley. If only she hadn't gone for the third jump in the 3T-2T-2R! But still, terrific showing for her. Believe it or not, this is her PB in the long.

Good for Phaneuf. In spite of the two falls, by far her most successful program at an international in quite some time. She's doing all of the triples again. I have my fingers crossed that her comeback will continue as successfully.

Yeah, ISU judges are icing Ashley Wagner very hard. It's looking like USA will only send at most 2 ladies to '09 Worlds and there's even a possibility of only being able to send 1 lady by the results of this event. We have to hope Richard Callaghan has helped transform Kimmie and sprinkled some Lipinski magic on her. This ladies' team has an even bigger question mark than the team of Meissner, Hughes, and Czisny last year.
