Im hoping its more of a strategic WD, they dont want him to skate and potentially get beaten by other top skaters this early in the season. I mean this line up is stronger than a normal cup stage Gleb came sick from the test skates according to his mother which is why he WD so it also could be that he is not the only one

For the first time in a long while too She only recently moved the combination into the second half, but coped well with that change so far, but it seems it's still a bit unstable under pressure.

Varvara did so well! I know she has been skating with Davydov for ages now but It really feels like she came out of nowhere. She wasn't talked about or qualifying to novice nats for so many seasons and then suddenly she rose last season!

Tbh, I don't care if he comes first or last in this non-season, I just want to see him skate (if he is healthy).

SPB fed said the full entry lists will be published "on the eve of the event" , which should be tomorrow evening.
I think ultimately the Moscow fed ( and the other local feds) choose which skaters they send.

I am having trouble opening the SPB fed homepage since the beginning of the weekend. Sometimes it opens, but most of the time the connection just times out. Not sure if it's an issue on my side or with the homepage itself. Anyway, the competition is also announced on the fsrussia.ru homepage, so I will add these links as well in case anyone else also experiences problems with the SPB page.

oh dear Alisa messed up her combo as well, not badly just a hand down , the top moscow girls are not having the best time with combos here other than Maria G.

Other than that a great performance!

Lisa said in the K&C that she had been most worried about the illusion spin at the end.

I really hope that this 'difficult exit' feature will be removed in the next quad. Very, very few skaters make it look good.
