Really super to see all the skaters having such a great time!
My vote goes to Buttle/Lysacek!! How fun was that?
It's been a long season so far - good to have this lighter mood to launch them all on their way to Worlds.

I wonder how they were taught to do the moves in the rehearsal??? It seemed like they were mimicking the singer's moves as shown in this video....

I've been to several competitions held in Europe, and other ice shows... and this gala was the BEST I've ever been to. It wasn't a big arena, but it was packed and the audience was soooooooo appreciating the skaters. And I guess the skaters felt that too, and responded with such a fun-packed gala show.
I didn't know Evan was that fun-loving guy either. It was so nice to see him having fun! Is there a clip of Evan approaching to Miki and the two dancing together somewhere? It was before Jeff and Evan went to do the throw jump, and it was so awesome and the crowd went crazy!

I'm kind of baffled at so many people being surprised that Evan is an easy-going, fun loving, cool, mellow guy off the competition ice . . . I sort of thought that was public knowledge. It's true . . . the person he is on the ice during competitions is very different from who he is off the ice.

Listen to all the cheers and shouts (mainly from the female audience, I think) throughout his performance! It seemed like Evan was skating in front of his "groupies." It was hilarious to see him go footloose, which I think sure worked for the audience. :thumbsup: I really hate to admit it, but he is growing on me. Oh, gotta say one more thing; I also loved his sex-appealing
dance moves with Miki as well as "new pair number" with Jeff. (BTW, Miki was gorgeous as ever!!)
