Fun Exhibition skates!

i was conflicted between this exhibition and Javi personal trainer

Oh, we really do think alike! Because those were the first two that came to my mind too when I saw this thread!

Well, we got one of them each.

To be honest, if not della Monica / Guarise, I thought you might go for Nika Egadze's EX from last season:

Nika Egadze - 2024 Skate America EX

I can't actually think of memorable fun EX programmes from any of your other kids.

Enjoyable though it is, given the subject matter, Niina Petrõkina's "Cell Block Tango" would hardly be classed as "fun". (Not linking to a performance of it because how on Earth do you choose just one performance of it?! Every performance is unique and special in it's own way).

mama @labgoat here i am!

kind of predictable coming from me right? :ROFLMAO:

i tag @norwegianfairytale and @Lamente Ariane

Has no one yet mentioned Hawayek/Baker's Austin Powers? An all-time classic!

Also iconic, Cappellini/Lanotte's Chaplin (exhibition version, where Anna is also Charlie Chaplin)

Since there has been a lot of fuss around space rockets today, now would seem a good time to post this programme that has stuck in my head:

Sota Yamamoto - 2013 World Team Trophy EX

This was the first time I had seen Sota, and I was impressed on so many levels. Seeing him standing on the ice, I was impressed with the authenticity of the International Rescue uniform. But once the programme started, I was so impressed with the skating.

I loved "Thunderbirds" when I was a youngster, and I still do now. So, of course I loved Sota's programme. My only disappointment was that he was using a re-mix of the theme tune. The original is dramatic and exciting enough as it is, without needing work done to it.

Here is what I wrote at the time:

The second half started with a performance by local wee girl Kaori Sakamoto. Now, am I imagining things, or did we see her in a gala before? Because both the girl and her name were very familiar!

She was followed by a local wee fella called Sota Yamamoto. Now, I never thought I would see somebody doing a figure skating routine in an International Rescue uniform! (Suffice to say, he was skating to the "Thunderbirds" theme tune) But the biggest surprise was that it really worked as a routine! I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

I wonder what ever happened to them... 🤔

OK then. Since I know you are now curious, here is Kaori's programme as well:

Kaori Sakamoto - 2013 World Team Trophy EX

It's not really a fun programme in the same sense as the programmes already mentioned in this thread, but it is fun to look back on knowing what she went on to achieve.
