T/M are called 'the red ones' in Russia because of Morozov's hair color.

Now there is a joke 'Red ones defeated red ones'.

That was fast.

I never seen T/M losing this but K/K really deserved that victory. All their planned content was delivered extremely well.

To many mistakes from T/M both jumping passed and throws had issues. I was surprised their PCS was only 69.95, just 1.56 ahead of K/K. I would have expected more of a difference and possibly enough to keep them in 1st.

I enjoyed the competition. Really like B/P, the classics work from him. Also impressed with V/Z.

Top 3 would have been comfortable winners in SkAm.

Akateva couldn't have skated much better in the free skate.

Kamila apart from the fall was near perfect across two programs.

It was an incredible skate for Kamila considering she took a heavy fall at the start, then was under a lot of pressure to be clean for the rest of it.

I didn't think Akateva was only three points better in the free skate, but certainly not any more than 6-7 points. If Kamila a second fall or missed a second jump, I think Akateva would have deserved the overall win, but Kamila did enough in my mind.

Both girls are on a completely different level to the skaters at SKAM.

Multiple mistakes hurt PCS. Of course, they didn't deserve PCS of their Olympic skate.

Khabilullina/Knyazhuk planned content is pretty insane. Im not even sure how they can even up that.
Even upgrading their throw and SBS 3L replacing them to a flip wouldnt even add that that much. That SBS 3 jump combo was such a point grabber.

With a little bit of reputation on their side now this team is going to be a major contender. And their pretty young so Rusfed investing on them isnt such a bad idea.

Of course, sometimes close calls go for a skater and sometimes they go against them. It’s part of officiating in all sports. There is such a thing as a 50/50 call.

Sometimes the penalty is awarded in football, sometimes it’s not. Doesn’t mean the referee or VAR is corrupt or been bribed.

Well, talk about answering the call. Akatieva showed a fighting spirit and was clutch tonight. That’s how you grab the bull by the horns.

You want to get attention? You go out and defeat Kamila in the free skate. That is the shortest of shortlists, people that have taken a FS from Kamila.

Now you start wondering what if? What if she landed the 3A in the short program?
