Jumps were a little problematic for Dzepka maybe just the extra energy expended with the quads. That first lutz was wild but somehow landed in clean, and even with the sequence it was a little difficult controlling the lutz. At least the 4T she fell on was completely rotated it's a good sign.
Then she lights it up with the choreo sequence. So enjoyable to watch.
Her SP one of my all time favourite programs. Kind of strict on her jump elements too with GOE, and strict all event with her PCS.

If the pause in the middle was slightly shorter or more choreographed it would be one of my favourite SPs.
From what I understand it is choreographed by Kostornaia.
All of the top five were wonderful. I love to watch Labutina's pure jumps, all landed ultra C's, and so nice to see Sofia S. back competing.
I wonder if her parents considered ballet for her as a child. Vaganova would certainly have taken her. I think of many skaters I've seen she has the most pure ballet technique applied to ice.

Boys: Artyom delivered first 3A, but second was pop, then he did 3Lo and then 2S which I suppose was meant to be triple, not quad, which is weird as he did quads before. TES is only 64 now, he got solid components deservedly but he won't be better than sixth.

Lev's score has been corrected.

I caught up on junior men, and the resulting top 4 delivered a great competition, with Lazarev and Kovtun being my favorite, and Sambuyev deservedly capturing attention. Love that they all represent different schools and regions. Lazarev's fall and 4T3T etxra at the end was a bit worrisome, but he is a birthday boy, so

I caught up as much as possible, leaving out dance. Smagina and Dzepka were wonderful, as well as Sazhina/Belkin and Shesheleva/Karnaukhov. Also love the opening move in the free for Slabada/Astakhov, even though their free didn't go as successfully as they hoped. Now I have to decide if I am going to skip seniors and just move on to next stage or catch up real quick
