I really wish Kurakova had varied up her style a bit from last year, but this is clearly working! Great skate. I love it when someone seems so genuinely happy to be out there

Kurakova does nothing for me. In the past, I would have said her skating was juniorish, but that’s not accurate. After all, I just watched the entirety of the Junior Grand Prix and the top junior ladies are better than her in expressing and interpreting music. She’s just over-the-top and immature. The requisite miming in the middle of her programs just takes the cake.
