Only noticed now that they did not invite Daniel! Ofc others with a 6th place are also not included but there's a lot of federations who would have made an exception here.
Unless he perhaps did not want to skate today?

Given that they were at the event, I was hoping Carolina or Valentina would be performing in the Gala.

I think he skipped it. After the Free Skating he declared "I had a very strong fever and also I was very sick so this competition was very difficult for me. Most of it, of the free program, I really cried before because I really didn’t want to do it because I was feeling too bad,"

So he probably preferred to rest a bit ahead of next week's National Championships.

Otherwise they could have put him in the slot given to Zich.
