Yeah I guess goodluck to Zhilina, Titova and Murayeva in Belarus
hopefully they go to an active fed like Armenia, Macedonia, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, or Mongolia since none of these countries seem to have a russia problem.

I'll believe it when I see it, I think Plushenko is ticked that his skaters got "beat" by coaches with no name recognition even though his skaters had obvious errors. Its easier said than done to change federations, especially talking skaters on the national team.
And this is a great thing.

More coaches producing winners and contenders makes everyone work harder, elevates the competition and makes for a better viewing experience for us fans.

Agree. I love Titova and Veronika, but I find I cheer a bit more for the Labutinas' and the others who aren't from the Eteri or Plushenko camps. For one thing, many of them have better choreography and more interesting programs.

Trusova withdrew from the GPF, being replaced by Frolova. Allegedly due to injury but I don't think her heart/head is really into competing right now. Glad that she did it now so Frolova has time to prepare and will get an additional skate

Seems like people who complain about the choreography of the current top ladies are stuck in the old era, when choreography was empty and boring. I personally can't take the old era of ladies figure skating seriously compared to today's level. And in fact most American ladies are still pushing for this nonsense and trying to revive a long dead dinosaur and then they wonder why no one watches them

I was watching Kostner's Bolero yesterday from the 2014 Olympics and it's practically in slow motion. Even if Kamila didn't jump ultra c in her Bolero, Kostner would still seem to be in slow motion, simple jumps off axis, choreography not as polished and precise. The level of development from 2014 to 2018 to 2022 was extraordinary. We have to thank Russian ladies for pushing the sport to new heights.

Exactly! People keep talking about quads, but the Eteri revolution really started back in 2014 with Lipnitskaya, the choreo, the interpretation of the music, the complexity and transitions, it was on another level, it was a new and a different approach to choreography, it was just so much more involved and interesting to watch, this is why she blew up despite not winning any medals, while no one cared about Adelina Sotnikova who won the gold medal that year.

What happened with Titova. I thought she had the best free skate of the night. The judges clearly made the point you better not say anything about them 😳

Jumps were underrotated which she had a problem with at the Russian Nationals. Looking at the scores in retrospect the judges were quite reasonable. Titova got second highest for components (that part I don't agree with), Zhilina highest.

I don't disagree that Titova had URs and was correctly deducted. but i think the Tech Panel was lenient to Gordeeva's quad that even in real time you can tell it was UR. Also Petrova should gotten the highest PCS hands down both in SP and FS and not Zhilina who I think was not even a top 3 material.

Petrova with a clean skate would have deserved to be highest for PCS

With the final major event coming up in 2 weeks, all in all it was a great season.

The spoils and big events were shared among different skaters, there was a lot of parity this season, a few skaters took the next step, the old guard mostly took the year off.

Except for Liza who will never retire and beat the daughters of these skaters soon enough. Haha

And this felt like the next cycle is beginning. Just like we transitioned from the Zagotova-Medvedeva era to the Anna-Kamila era, it seems we are now entering the Adelia-Akatieva era.
