What else is new? It's hard to find an article these days in the Japanese newpapers/magazines that doesn't require either creating an account, or paying a subscription. I like the visible part of the article -'with smiles and honesty'. Yes, that's what I like about Kazuki!

Good for Kazuki..breaking 90 for the first time this season 91.15..step out on 4 S did a 4 t 2 t.. a few articles up on Twitter..naturally behind a pay wall..

Kazuki didn't do as well in the FS, but still managed to get good level and PCS, and scored a total of 250


I hope this experience helps him to be focused on both SP and FS at Worlds

Glad to hear of the Onsen group sticking together and supporting each other. And also of JSF actually offering a B event to Kazuki, that's a pleasant surprise. Not surprised that he didn't wish to cross many time zones close to WC, though.

Glad to hear of the Onsen group sticking together and supporting each other. And also of JSF actually offering a B event to Kazuki, that's a pleasant surprise. Not surprised that he didn't wish to cross many time zones close to WC, though.

Yeah his wording was 'I chose to do my adjustments domestically' which to me suggests that he could have had a spring challenger, but declined to do so. I thought it was silly at first, but now I think it was a smart choice: not only he avoided the hassle of travelling, he got to participate in two smaller, fun events (Osaka and Hiroshima) in which he got undivided attention because he was the only top skater there. So I think it worked well for him!


So Hiraike-sensei's team has a new official IG account! Did you see that @Giu ?
