Tbh, I think the intensity of the music does not match their skating and presentation quite yet, but considering how consistent their elements have become in such a short time, I can only hope their interpretation will take the same direction.

I wonder though if it's possible that continuing to train singles in some capacity benefits her pairs skating (mentally and/or physically) compared to girls who switched completely.

I’m not fond of this tendency for ballads in pairs.

I don't think that's going to be a medal for Emily and Spencer, but they never stopped fighting and they've got a lot to be proud of.

In other news, my phone really pulled through with the deep cut music replacement and I now have a suggestion for what they should skate to next season! (The soundtrack to Le Château de ma mére)

Not Emily/Spencer's best. That 5-point advantage from the SP is pretty much gone. Le sigh.

Strong comeback in the second half, but their medal hopes are gone. They might hang onto the lead by sheer virtue of their 5 point lead after the Short, but they certainly would have wanted much more.

Apparently they've been super solid in practise, so this must be a huge disappointment for them.

Mika Saarelainen, he has the qualification to work as a highest level judge. He comments in our national Tv when he is not judging. He is very neutral and even he wants our own skaters to do well, he already tells the tiny mistakes also they make sometimes.

I meant by nature the guys can't look good when they start throwing. And I'd love to hear his example of who does it better.
