I watched that performance like 100 times already. And the one from Averbukhs show last year...I love that dress, easily one of my favorite of all time.

That is why I came to peace with this before the start of the season. And as I mentioned before, the pill was easy to swallow since we saw her win everything there was to win, and there are no loose ends or missed opportunities. That was spectacular to see. Very nice of the Chinese fans. I hope Anna makes many appearances in China in the coming years and has skating camps for the kids in China and makes a lot of endursement money from China because it's all there for her.
But it makes me sad to think that Anna wont compete anymore for a variety of reasons. She is phenomenal in all these shows. Anys makes much more money than when she competed. She doesn't have to train as hard as when she's skated for the ISU so she can weigh more and be healthier. Anna had knee surgery last summer and that's tough to recover from for an athlete especially one who is a figure skater. And Anna probably won't want to put up with the hassles that Russian skaters are gonna have to go through when they do come back to International competition. More drug tests perhaps some angry at Russia fans and things like that. Another issue is that when they do come back Russia may not even have 3 quotas so why bother?
But Anna is only 18 and could still be coming into her prime competitively. She would be fantastic even without the ultra jumps she would still have complex routines complex footwork do lots of triples at a high level and have by far the best artistry and musicality in the game.
Life is hard for these figure skaters the sport is just very tough on the body and mind. She has many opportunities and will take advantage of them. I would like to see Anna skate part time competitively but I don't think she will. I'm not sure she cares enough to get her quads back. At the GPF today 4 Russian ladies scored over 240 points. There's still a lot of competition there even without Anya. It's always nice to see her smiling. She brings a golden Sunny aura to everywhere she goes. That is why I came to peace with this before the start of the season. And as I mentioned before, the pill was easy to swallow since we saw her win everything there was to win, and there are no loose ends or missed opportunities.
She sacrificed a lot, let her go make her money and do other things that will be less stressful on her body.
Plus, it’s not like she is just sitting home. She is still traveling and trying new things. TV host, magazine shoots, kicking a football around, and will be used as a hair model for an upcoming conference.
Happy Birthday, Anna !![]()

"today is my birthday. I received a lot of very nice gifts. In addition, I will now answer your questions. You asked me what I would like to be if I wasn't skating. Here my answer is very simple: I have been skating since the age of three and I can no longer imagine my life without it. And the second question was about what wish I make for my birthday. Here, my answer is also quite simple: I believe that everything is in our power, and if we work hard, then everything will definitely work out. Therefore, I usually do not make wishes, but I try to translate everything into reality myself."
