Jason Brown

Rohene has been nominated ...Again! ... for the PSA Edi Awards Choreographer of the Year Award for his work with Jason.

His words about working with Jason are so touching ❤️

Plus Rohene's outfit.🕺 I am not a fashionista, but those pants and shoes. Always looking good. :)

Silly not important question time, while waiting for Canadian SOI:

Jason relaxing in Chicago. He said at WTT he would be spending time with his two BFFs. We know Millie. Who is the other woman?

And Alexa K>'s comment is so cute:

I’m not jealous because I get to have allllllll the downtime with you for 6 weeks!!!!!!

It seems to be an official job for Stars on Ice, so why wouldn't he be paid for it? Maybe not a hefty sum, I suppose, but it's a real experience in reporting and I suppose he's already preparing his post-competitive career, though I hope he can compete a few years more.

@el henry Did you ever get an answer to this? Ashley Shin is a skater who spent some time in Monument when Jason and Emily were there. I don't remember if it was just a summer thing or what, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing her in ig pics there for a while.

Just realized I'm not getting notifications for this watched thread that has been watched for forever! :eek2: Cannot have that! Just did an unwatch/watch. Hope it helps!

Good luck to Jason in SOI Canada! Looking forward to seeing tidbits!

No I didn't, so I guess I don't know absolutely everything about Jason. ;)

Love this cast photo. Can I just say that in the first photo Jason is the only one truly channeling Bond (which is one of group numbers I understand). Bond didn't look like an assassin, even when he was serious. Just like Jason. :)

Another Q and A when Jason was in Osaka for the Japan SOI.

Interview with Rohene, where he of course talks about Jason, but many other skaters and issues as well. Worth the read.

Rohene has words for the judges: ;)

I was talking to a judge and they were like, ‘Oh, we didn't give [Jason] a 10 [for PCS] because the triple axel entrance was too long.’ And I said, ‘Well, have you ever gotten triple axel?’ And he said no, and I said, ‘Ok.’ Because [Jason] did hold the edge long, but the way he held the edge—I mean, it's still controlled and the lean into the circle, which you don't see people do correctly. So yes, it was a longer edge, but it was a correct, controlled, beautiful edge. People don't understand how difficult it is to be as good as he is.

Clip of Jason in a "pairs duet" number from Jeff Buttle's IG. (filmed from the cheap seats ;) )

Can anyone tell who is Jason's partner in this video clip of a group number? Loena? (unless I'm completely mistaken, I think Jason is orange)

This tweet has a picture of the whole cast in their colored costumes.

Based on this picture, I would say that Jason is orange, Patrick Chan is blue, Satoko is turquoise/blue and Loena is green. I could identify Jason and Patrick from the video, but had to use the picture to id the women.

I attended the ITNY gala performance tonight and as I thought, Jason skated a show version of "Melancholy" to enthusiastic cheers and a standing O. The place was packed as you can imagine with lots of well heeled donors going to the fundraising dinner afterwards. I alas, am too poor to attend the dinner, but seeing Jason skate in person was a real treat, since I'm not able to go to SOI this year since it's not hitting the NYC tri state area. I also loved seeing Rohene. I also saw that Karina Manta is part of the troupe now, since her retirement from ID.

Quality of my video isn't great due to the spotlight but it'll do. I'm sure there will be other fancams out there.

Rohene performed "This Bitter Earth" in a gorgeous red costume - and spun in opposite directions.

And the other Browns - Oona and Gage did another rendition of their RD from last year (which they also performed at the 2022 gala).

Thank you for posting! It looks like it was a great night for skating! Lucky you!
