Kazuki Tomono

TV Asahi will broadcast a special edition of FaOI Makuhari, with backstage footage:

Meanwhile, here are a couple of pics from the summer training camp:

This gala never fails to make me smile:

If I read correctly, this Bills collection is from a gala two years ago, so not really something up-to-date enough for this thread, but this program was just too much fun, so yeah, I'm posting old photos here. :]

non-no released some pictures of Kazuki during One Piece on Ice practice. They said a full report is coming out soon!

Meanwhile, JSF's tweet with a quote from Kazuki during the summer training camp:

"This season, I would like people to think, 'Kazuki Tomono can also express himself in this way'. I would like to win a medal at the World Championships, which I did not win last season, and I would like to be a player who can win medals in all the competitions I compete in, so that I will not be beaten by younger competitors."

A new non-no article is out!

It shows the second half of his visit to Koenji, the pictures are super nice and it seems like a really cool, old-fashioned place! But the highlight for me was that he ended the day with curry and beer 🍛🍺, what a mood! Although I'm not super sure I'd have shark curry 🦈

The TV Asahi special on FaOI Makuhari was broadcast today, sadly I couldn't find any clips but I've seen many tweets praising "Tsumugi" again and calling for Kazuki and Sota to be at FaOI again next year.

Meanwhile, Kazuki's IG story from yesterday - I can't stress enough how the pics in the latest non-no article are very cute, if you haven't checked it out, please do! It will brighten your day.

Ok, so... Viewer discretion is advised, some of the pictures are 🥵, literally and figuratively!
haha, I bet Kazuki must be proud of his sultry photos! Also, I'm impressed he managed to eat all those dishes! The signed locker was a good idea, now customers who follow skating might end up fighting over who gets to use 'Kazuki's' locker ^ ^

The food honestly looks amazing! I wonder how the black ramen tastes like. The place looks super nice, and they tweeted saying they are very happy with Kazuki's review 😄

Meanwhile, an IG story from non-no! We have been really spoiled this weekend with two articles and lots of pictures.

Yes! It'll be published today (18 July) at 7pm Japan time. As usual, it'll be behind a paywall, I think...
Meanwhile, we have a very shot snippet of 'Halston'!

So it seems like his latest Mainichi article is about his preferences for skating boots, as usual it's a paid article but in the beginning (that we can read for free), he says he used beginner's skating boots up until when he learned the 3A and 4S, what 😱

Meanwhile, Pipinella, the Sri Lankan restaurant that Kazuki went on his latest non-no article, posted these pics:

This curry looks amazing!

The Ice rehearsals started today, and Kazuki practiced part of his FS. I hope we get to see 'Halston' soon!

ETA: Kazuki has been assigned to compete at Neberlhorn Trophy again this year! 🎉 Koshiro Shimada is also competing at Neberlhorn, so it should be a fun competition!

This curry looks scumptious! If I remember correctly, Alyona Kostornaya too used to skate with boots made for double jumps in Juniors while jumping 3A in competition and reportedly practising 4S? She was tiny then, but I think it harmed her, and I'm still nervous thinking it back, so with Kazuki Tomono having done the same, I feel quite worried retrospectively, irrational as it is. It has to be said, that both are remarkable for their excellent glide and technique. If they also have strong ankle muscles and ligaments, maybe it was possible for them while it would have been too dangerous for most others.

Thanks for this. From what I could understand, the criteria itself hasn't changed, but JSF said they will publish before Nats the list of skaters who are already fulfilling the criteria by the end of the GP series e.g. Top 2 finish at GPF, top 3 SBs or World standings/season's standings.

While in theory this doesn't change things much, I'm worried about what this means in practice, as going into Nats knowing for sure you're already in the pool might be a huge psychological advantage. At the very least, it gives it more weight into the GP series which is worrying for us Kazuki fans since he tends not to be at his peak so soon in the season, plus he has very tough assignments 🫠

Meanwhile, The Ice announced it will broadcast its dance battles for free on Tiktok, and Kazuki is once again participating! His first battle is on 26/07, against the mighty Gabby Papadakis!

It seems that he practised his new EX today, but I'm not sure yet about the music... Someone tweeted it could be this:

if it is, it sounds super fun!
