While in theory this doesn't change things much, I'm worried about what this means in practice, as going into Nats knowing for sure you're already in the pool might be a huge psychological advantage. At the very least, it gives it more weight into the GP series which is worrying for us Kazuki fans since he tends not to be at his peak so soon in the season, plus he has very tough assignments![]()
Well, I guess those who meet the criteria before, will do it in a way that it's quite clear that they are in the pool? And they've always known that before. Nats pressure is different and I think everybody has it because those who had a good season until then, will have to "defend" that and want to show themselves. In lots of other countries, I'd see a bit of an advantage, but in Japan? Not so much
