Roman also withdrew from SCI. Skate Canada has the spot as TBA on the Events page now.

The results are a mess. Senior Women Short is updated, but they announced they won't have the Free results until tomorrow. Other results were announced, this is what I caught:

Senior Men Short
1 - Corey Circelli (67.97)
2 - Alec Guinzbourg (or Gutzenberg as they kept announcing him)
3 - Bruce Waddell

Senior Rhythm Dance
1 - Charlie Anderson/Luke Anderson
2 - Romy Malcolm/Kobi Chant

Yup. I’m watching the Senior Women and I have no idea who is winning. They announced at the beginning:
“Scores to be posted tomorrow” 😳

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Miriam Kleiman who won. She did well in August and I thought she looked good here too.

I'll post these here from tracking the announced scores. This is probably the one most people were interested in.

I had other preferences but the main deal is that the spot was given to another Canadian skater. Will never forget last year ;)
What was your other preferences?

I thought you didn’t want Stephen to get another spot.

Surely, this spot was only between Aleksa and Matthew, if not Stephen.

not GOGO as i think he and Conrad can get a spot if others w/d in the latter stages. They are pretty high on the replacement list. At the same time, come to think of it, giving the spot to GOGO would have made it even easier for Conrad to get a 2nd spot, if available later on ;)

Matthew, if healthy would have been my pick. I also prefer the mature style of Corey which to me, for a GP stage is very important. I don't expect any of these guys to land all the big tricks but in the end, Matthew and Corey's basic skating is so much stronger.

Nam, Keegan, Jo and Patrick need to unretire ASAP :)

Finally got a chance to see Lauriault/LeGac's Corpse Bride FS. It is inspired! I love everything about it. Can we please send 4 teams to worlds in Montreal?

I have never seen anything like the lift at the end where she rolls up his body to just below his chin, he lets go and she hangs there for a few seconds, then drops on the highlight of the music — one of the most creative things I've seen in a while. So, so good.

Anyway, I'm cheering for Lajoie/Lahga to make a comeback at Skate America this weekend. Go LaLa!

And go Peirerra/Michaud!

Also, Romsky is back on the ice and has been since 09/05. See below:

He has all the singles back…
For doubles, just 2S, 2T (no 2F or 2Lz).
For triples, just the 3S

Now, I know why he pulled out of Skate Canada.

Still, I think Romsky should go for simpler jumps; I want to see his programs…

No need to rush ! He is an Olympian right now. I prefer see him take his time and come back when he is ready instead of rushing the comeback and risking to increase the injury. Take care of you Roman and hope to see you healthy at national.

A big silver medal for Marjorie & Zach that I definitely didn't expect after their difficulties in the preseason. Looking at their second assignment field, they're in a very good spot now.

Lia & Trennt also get their first podium. Given how consistent their jumping elements have been, especially hers, a shame it was that that cost them the gold, but whatever.
