2024 Pacific Coast Sectional Singles & U.S. Pairs Final

Kudos to Fletcher and Felberbaum for fighting through their program as deep-frozen icicles after their extra-long wait!

Cannot believe how much taller these yng women look. Mia Kalin is much improved in non-jump elements. No 3/3s so far that I saw. Of course I have ADD so....

Sonia is very talented. Does anyone know if she is looking for a pairs partner or concentrating on singles?

The Kraken skating academy always makes me laugh. Release the Kraken! And Abigail Anderson is skating to an instrumental version of "Ghostbusters" it sounds like to me. If so bravo! Oh she's using an inhaler, that must be difficult.

I spent the ice resurface time seeing how many of these skaters are age-eligible for senior internationally. From what I was able to find, Soho Lee, Mia Kalin, Josephine Lee, Sonia Baram, and Katie Shen are the ones bottlenecked in junior with the age increase. That doesn't really mean anything, just an interesting bit of information. I thought I'd share in case anyone else was curious.

Who will be age eligible 2024-2025? I'm assuming they all are for the Olympic year.

Yeah Sonia shines in pairs.

Well the Sr women are done with the SP and Sherry Zhang leads with 66.43. Oh wait she's Jr.as is Annika Chao. They would have placed 1/3 in Srs. Seriously Soho and Mia and Josephine only did 3/2s while the latter skaters did 3/3s. Weird. Soho was injured earlier or something and must still be recovering or rusty. Now on to Sr Men LP.

If my "research" is correct (and my math), Katie Shen, Mia Kalin and Josephine Lee are 15 for this season (based on July 1st cutoff). So, they'll be 16 for 2024-25 and 17 for 2025-26.

Soho Lee, Sonia Baram (and juniors Sherry Zhang and Cleo Park) are 14 for this season.

Edit: Cleo Park might be only 13 for this season with an August 2009 birthday.

The throw jump is not D/S friend...but I love them and that was a super cool and unique pairs spin at the end. Hopefully they will go through.

Sherry won't be eligible until 2026-2027 season, so sad.
