Congratulations to Shomajesty on his silver (not backwards!) medal. As we said SEVERAL times in the past, he didn't lose the gold, he won the silver! Good fight, and I love the way he didn't lose the power of the performance because of the mistakes on the first two jumps. I saw someone wrote they never saw him fall on the first jump. I had a flashback to the 2018 Olys when he opened his Turandot program by falling on (guess which jump?!) the quad Loop!
It was so good to see him on the ice again. To me, his whole body just speaks skating! He was meant to be on the ice! The way he changes speed, his soft arms, his attention to detail. Did he REALLY do that 4T-3T in BOTH programs?! That, for me, was probably one of the greatest takeaways. I think when he skated off the ice, he knew it wasn't enough to beat Adam, but he looked very content and happy, and that makes me happy!
On to NHK, where he will face a formidable opponent in Yuma. I love following him and love the
I'm so glad to be his fan.
