I have read on travel sites that when COVID hit, Japanese accommodation capacity had been raised in reason of a constant rise in foreign tourists visiting Japan. In January 2024 this number just surpassed the January 2019 and January 2020 numbers. Japanese hotels still have to exert to fill their bedrooms. I don't think that such an advertising can affect this hotel's occupancy rate for Notte Stellata (few travellers are likely to sleep in Haneda, and most are likely to have already booked an accommodation) but depending on whether or not Yuzuru Hanyu will participate in Stars on Ice and/or Fantasy on Ice this year, this advertising might fill a number of bedrooms around the dates of the shows.
