Now including Alec Guinzbourg, Edrian Paul Celestino, Azusa Tanaka/ Shingo Nishiyama, Vanessa Pham/partner 👀. They're getting some of the Ontario men who went to Cranberry Cup last year.

Also Sandrine Gauthier under Junior ice dance too 👀
you beat me to it LOL

Now : I believe that Sandrine was the one being too old for juniors... so is that reflecting the age rule changes or is it just a mistake ?

They're both turning 21 after July 1, so one more season of eligibility under the new age rules. This will make it interesting for the two Junior Worlds spots if they're going back to Juniors.

well... I think they should take advantage of it.... By opposition to some teams competing in juniors when they could easily compete in seniors and have done so before, Sandrine and Quentin cannot get GPs and wouldn't be getting much competition time in seniors. Their Junior career was short (because of Covid) so they deserve a run at it. Yes, that will be interesting because they could easily fight for a medal at any junior event they would enter.

this time, i beat you to it... i had already updated the OP :)

but again, you beat me with the special announcements :)

honestly, I am sure @RatedPG will be pleased to know that Grace is competing, but this event, without Audréanne, sigh.

I am also a bit disappointed at the lack of IAM ice dance teams. I wonder if it's because of the Challenger happening so early this year. Last year, we were treated with international teams at CQE.

Pairs is good.
Singles men, few entries but I really like them all so that's awesome.
Many women in both senior and junior... maybe too many for me to fully watch.

Excited for junior pairs and dance too !

I think I will take a couple days off from work and attend some of this.

Well, senior dance has AzuShin and that's a plus for me.(y)

I remember seeing their RD at CQÉ last year and being intrigued but completely flummoxed. Too old, I had no idea what Super Mario Bros music or games looked like.

My bad.

It was a summer comp and it must have been Canadian, it had a stream! Must have been Souvenir Georges Éthier?

The first Ice Dance Challenger is Lombardia Trophy in mid-September, even a few days later than last season, so that can't be the reason.
