2024 Glacier Falls Summer Classic | Jul 24-28

Katie Shen - 3T3T, 3Lz (looked < or q to me and !), 2A

Katie debuts with a great program that's fun and allows her to be a little carefree and playful, punctuated by great jumps (questionable rotations). Katie will want to work on her glide across the ice, especially on the clusters during the footwork and the difficult exits out of her spins which can often look a little sloppy. However, that is being too stern. Great debut from Katie.

Audrey Tanaka - 3F2T, 3Lz, 2A (step out)

Pleasantly surprised by Audrey, I've never watched her skate before. She has great height on her jumps but you can sense that she loses speed as she works through her step sequence but with more conditioning, I'm sure the program will come together finely. Great skate from Audrey, she should be proud.

Keira Hilbelink - 3Lz2T, 3F, 2A

Keira's consistency continues to shine as she moves up to the senior ranks domestically. However, this is the third or fourth competition in a row where she has not gone for the 3Lz3T. Although not necessary domestically given her consistency, Keira will want to add the 3Lz3T if she wants to nab medals on the Junior Grand Prix circuit.

Don't think I'm going to be able to make it up to Anaheim after all, but I was able to find video of Elyce's SP and I'm :popcorn:...seems like she's growing in maturity and consistency and I'd love to keep seeing that! It's been a while since I felt super enthused about a U.S. lady, and I love her SP thus far, so I'm hoping this will really be a breakout season for her. SkAm host pick...?

She had problems with the flips and lutzes today and maybe slightly less confident overall.. but I still think she's on the brink of becoming a really special quality skater 🤞
