2024 Czech Skate Pairs SP

All our JGP spots for women have been allocated. We only had three spots. She is not named as a sub for any, so no chance of getting one.

I was too lazy to check. (Well, I didn't want to miss much).

That is unfortunate. But, given that she has not actually done that many Junior competitions, not surprising.

Hopefully Zinia will get out to a good number of Senior B's. And hopefully ones that have Pairs competitions, as I want to see the whole family in the results area supporting each other!

It's a shame Zoe and Chris couldn't have both been here this week, but I suppose one of them has to hold the fort and sort out the younger kids! Especially since school started back this week.

Lucas Tsuyoshi has become a very nice pair skater. I like this pairing as well. Sae is a cutie.

They are both very strong singles skaters, great skating skills and easy jumping technique. Since the start they've had surprisingly non-scary lifts for a team this new to pairs.

Twist and throw technique though? Need work. A lot of work, if they want to ever get good and consistent triples.

I remember Zimmerman & Kyoko Ina taking lessons from Tamara Moskvina and I see some of that technique and choreo in its early stages in this couple even with the mistakes.

This is a very, very new team. This is their first competition. He skated pairs in many years ago in Juveniles and she is new to pairs, from what I can tell.

Obviously, much work to be done, but the bare bones are there. The twist doesn't have terrible mechanics, the lift and throw look very solid technique-wise. Everything else will come with time and more practice if they stay together.

Could be. Either that or a clip of "Disney On Ice" that I've seen on TV.

(Ulster TV have regularly done reports over the years when "Disney On Ice" have been performing over here).
