2024 CS Lombardia Trophy Free Dance

@CaroLiza_fan what is the highest position an Irish ice dance team has achieved at a challenger event before?

This will be it.

Carolane and Shane are the first Ice Dancers to compete for Ireland at Senior level, and this is the first Challenger they have done since switching to Ireland. The last time they did a Challenger (2022 Nebelhorn Trophy), they were representing Canada.

give them time... isn't that their first year as seniors ? in ice dance of all discipline, the learning curve and the judges favour takes more than a couple months.... the browns are still trying to figure out how to skate as seniors
The Browns are, I'd argue, way more special with much more it factor, and with IAM polishing them up they'll soon settle. And I quite liked their Baba O'Riley FD that I saw as a far away fancam so I have hopes for this season, Oona and Gage deserve it

For years I’ve loved all Guignard & Fabbri’s beautiful FDs. This is, a departure, certainly.

You watch—this is the one they will win Worlds with :)
It's funny that works out sometimes - we will see.

It is, in fact it's literally their second competition as Seniors.

Out of the Jr World Champions transitioning to Seniors recently, they've done well at their first Challenger. Mrazkovi scored 2 points higher, the Browns 15 points lower and LaLa 10 point lower (Fun fact - All of these teams except for the Browns had a Jr PB of around 176-177).

Soucisse/Firus did Golden Spin last season, which was a Challenger, but they certainly placed a lot lower than here.
