This is sort of a generic program. I feel like I've seen this several times already.
I'm sorry Alicia & Paul - I like you but I see you dropping with this skate.
I have no lasting image from this skate and that is part of its problem.
For a battle of the sexes number I expect more.

I know this will annoy our mamie but oh lord the music was pain itself and the skaters, while competent, were not memorable... a senior version of Gauthier/Thieren for me personally

What is this abomination of "It's A Man's Man's Man's World"?! 
It's a pity that James Brown is dead. Because I want him to sue whoever was murdering his song!
The second song, "You Don't Own Me", went some way to making up for it. (I wonder who was singing this version. I recognised the voice, but can't place who it was).
After the first song, I was wishing for a sibling 1-2-3. But now, after the second song, I'm thinking that would be too mean on Alicia and Paul.
It's taking a long time for the scores.
They finish in 3rd in both the FS and overall.
Right, back to making my sandwiches before the Podium Ceremonies and Gala.

Oona and Gage got silver 
Hannah and Ye could've gotten more points to my very biased eyes, but it was their first outing of the season (CQE doesn't count since they didn't do their FD there) so they'll go up as the season moves on, don't tell me otherwise. I'll be off to Ljubljana while waiting for the protocols

I believe in Hannah & Ye. They are hard workers and smart cookies. They will make adjustments as needed. I liked the free more than I thought I would so that is good.Oona and Gage got silver

Looking at the protocols... Hannah and Ye's twizzles were raised to level 4 for both, not the curve lift though. The difference between the Mrazkovi and them were mostly down to GOEs given, which I am not happy about. Gah figure skating...

And don't worry @labgoat, we only got two "teenage wastelands" for the Browns.
No harm to Alicia and Paul, but it would have been something to have three sets of siblings on the podium. And both sets of Czech siblings.
Nice anthem.
And now time to ride out to Southfork, before coming back for the Gala (on a new stream) in 2h 20m from now.

I actually found the top 9 all delightful in their own ways. What a great competition and we are so lucky to have so many great ice dance teams on the circuit!
I particularly loved Bekker/Hernandez, Lim/Quan and Flores/Desyatov’s FDs. They all have a little kinks to work out but I liked the themes, music, choreography the most but I agree with the overall result.
It was so nice to see the Browns skating to something upbeat and happy - it was a great FD. The Czech brothers and sisters are excellent and so much respect to them but I still have not fallen in love with any of their FDs although they were enjoyable to watch. I don’t mind Fabbri/Ayer’s music and I liked their FD but agree, there needs to be more angst between them to fully get the theme across - they were too nice with each other lol. Baby Swedes are so adorable
I have to say, I love so much how supportive the Czech teams are of the other couples - cheering on their competitors. Super nice to see. A lot of the teams from different training camps which were cheering on each other which was just lovely. We need more of this niceness in the world!

This event sure had been a show case of siblings teams! Every time I see Mrazkova/Mrazek i fall in love with their boundless commitment and drama all over again. They just really seemed to be so passionate about their programs, I am so sold... I actually also liked Browns FS here. Wishing all the teams good luck as the season develops!
Such a pity that Tashlers skate this cheap stuff. With a better choreography and better music, they would be unbeatable.
Another regret is that Cruella is not skated by Fear and Gibson. It would be a perfect fit.
Also, Mrazeks still don't understand the turtle lift. Piper was floating in the air in that lift. There was an illusion of her flying among stars in the nighty sky. And Mrazeks? They do it in such an unaesthetic way. And outside any context.
Flores is super magnetic btw. And the program is decent.
