2024-25 U.S. Pairs Figure Skating

Are any full videos available of the Boston NQS?

BTW, for those who wish to support Nica Digerness & Mark Sadusky, a Gofundme has been started to help with their training expenses. They are a really good pairs team. Any support we can offer them will truly help them to continue fighting for their skating career dreams. ❤️

With the recent Warsaw Cup assignments, I've been thinking about where things stand with pairs and US Nationals:

Current Byes to Nationals:

Kam/O'Shea - reigning Champions
Efimova/Mitrofanov - reigning silver medalists
Plazas/Fernandez - reigning bronze medalists, out for the year due to injury
Liu/Nagy - 4th place, no longer partners
McBeath/Parkman - 5th place
Chan/Howe - member of the 2024 World Team

Williams/Lewer - competing at Finlandia Trophy, 11/15/2024-11/17/2024

Flores/Wang - Junior Grand Prix Finalists (Not sure if they're skating junior or senior at Nationals, but they have a bye either way)

Potential Byes:

US Pairs Final Dates: 11/14/2024 and 11/15/2024
Warsaw Cup Dates: 11/20/2024-11/24/2024

Martins/Bedard - assigned to Warsaw Cup and now assigned NHK, 11/8/2024-11/10/2024
Shin/Nagy - assigned to Warsaw Cup

I was looking at the dates, and the Warsaw Cup is happening within a week of the Pairs Final, so I would think that gets them both directly to Nationals, but I'm not entirely certain of the rules here.

I put this in their fan fest thread.

Pairs Byes:

Kam/O'Shea
Efimova/Mitrofanov
McBeath/Parkman
Chan/Howe
Williams/Lewer
Martins/Bedard
Shin/Nagy
FitzPatrick/Bearinger
Digerness/Sadusky

The official list still has Plazas/Fernandez on it, and we know that their season is pretty much over due to his knee surgery.

Also, Flores/Wang are still going to compete junior domestically.

So there are three pairs competing for two spots? That seems harsh for whoever is the only pair to miss out.
I think all 3 can make it since I believe the spot that belongs to Plazas/Fernandez goes back to the field. They haven't officially withdrawn from Nationals yet, but I'm sure that'll come soon enough.

However, Cooke/Kennedy do need to reach 42 Tech in the free skate.

Wow, there were a LOT more pairs last year. Oh well, at least I get to see Ellie and Timmy.

Does anyone know what happened to Sonia Baram?
She's been competing in Singles at the Senior level. Her last competition was the NQS Austin Autumn Classic in September. She scored a total of 120.96 and placed 9th.

Thanks. Wonder if she intends to do pairs again.

Hanns / Neudecker didn't reach their minimum for the short... Cooke / Kennedy have a chance in the FS

About Sonia... who knows she might do pairs again. Ashley Cain did both too and after being unsuccessful in reaching the podium in Senior Ladies after several years, she returned to pair skating and got a couple of national Championships and reached the Olympics. Sonia is talented, I hope she continues in skating.

I wonder where are Mokhova / Mokhov? No international assignments and they don't compete in NQS.
