2024 CS PGE Warsaw Cup Men's SP

but i'm going to miss him. see you later (i hope to make it on time for the last boys in this group)

I'm the oposite. I'm going to see this group, and then miss the final group.

And thanks to Valtter, I just realised that I forgot to finish off watching the SP this morning! He came on and I thought "I don't remember seeing you yesterday". And that was when the penny dropped. :drama:

He tries to get the worlds TES and that is why 4t is added again. He was more stable when not trying it. Does it take too much energy? As they are very close with Makar in scores, he may need it but it should be clean. To me it is same who gets the spot to EC or WC (if minimums for WC are reached) because local fed's rules are fair.

Edit. I checked, Makar is in lead by just a couple of points after this. Nationals solve a lot, and how Makar does in Zagreb.

Valtter is almost my age (I'm older) - I admire him deeply, as a person that tries to regain basic skating skills since March and regulatily fails miserably...

Okay, I'm spooked - two days in a row I have come online as Valter Virtinen is finishing his skate...

We must be around the same age then. I'm just over a year and a half older than Valtter.

And I agree. I admire him too. You always tend to have a connection with sportspeople that are a similar age to you. But that just intensifies when it gets to the stage that they are the minority in the field. You will them on to show their younger rivals that they still have it in them! Because they are upholding the honour of your own age group.

I agree to some extend - I didn't feel any connection to Tara Lipinsky - she is just a little bit older than I. Even as 13 yo I prefered adult women skating
I will be 40 in January :angry2:

B spin but at least he got some points from it. I think the if jumps took some energy but well done.

Neither did I. But I only started getting interested in figure skating around the time Tara retired, so she was essentially before my time. :p

With me it will be October.

But, take a leaf out of Ángel Nieto's notebook. It's not 40. It's 39+1. ;)

Nieto was superstitious. So when he won his 13th and final World Championship, he insisted people refer to him as a "12+1 time World Champion". Although, I have never understood why he didn't just have it as "6+7 time World Champion", to reflect the number of times he won the 50cc World Championship (6 times) and 125cc World Championship (7 times).

Have I told I love Maurizio's trousers? I think I have but just in case I tell it again: men can have other than black with good taste.

wow.. points for using Barber's Adagio for strings... one of the most beautiful pieces of music out there..

wow... minus points for not keeping it more than 20 seconds.

I'm not sure keeping the same programme for three seasons is the best strategy. It seems a bit stale.

I'm a fan since I was about 10 :laugh4: 3/4 of my life... And skating myself since I was 10 - but had a breake longer than Deanna - and obviously never wasn't even close to Deanna's level, as I was never skating competitive.
I accept my age, I'm proud I made it
