Guilty/Not Guilty

Not guilty

Do you have lots of leaves to rake in the fall?
Semi-guilty. We only have one tree that drops leaves - most of ours are Australian natives - but the one liquidambar makes up for the rest.

Do you have a vegetable garden?

Not guilty

Do you still live in the town where you were born?
Guilty (although there were several years when I lived not just in a different city but in a different country. Still aways keep coming back....

Have you ever lived abroad (I mean lived, like for college, work or love, not just visited, whatever that means....)? :)

Guilty - I was born in the UK, only came here at age 5.

Have you ever asked an author to sign a copy of their book you are buying?

Oh. I lived in the UK, too! First as a teen and then again at some later stage!

Guilty of asking writers for autographs, more than once!

Have you ever waited in a crowd outside a venue to get a glimpse, or a selfie, or an autograph, or a chance to chat with some star / celeb (maybe FS, maybe some other field) you truly adore?

Guilty - mostly for FS!
Outside of figure skating, we got to talk to Peter Yarrow after a Peter, Paul, & Mary concert. We have spoken to 🇨🇦🎸🎶 Gordon Lightfoot (my favorite singer/songwriter, of blessed memory) & his amazing back up band many times after his concerts.
We attended a book talk with Mitch Albom (author of Tuesdays with Morrie) when he appeared @ his childhood synagogue in New Jersey. He autographed one of his other books for us. I thanked & complimented him for an article he wrote for the Detroit Free Press re: Todd Eldredge. It was an article he wrote around the 2002 Winter Olympics. It was titled "Todd Eldredge - A Humble Champion," or something like that.

Do you have any exercise equipment @ home (treadmill, stationary bike, etc.)?

My most cherished autograph from a musician comes from John Mayall (RIP), and in sports - from Jason Brown

As for the sports equipment, if yoga matts count, yes, guilty :) Otherwise, not.

Have you ever hitch hiked?

guilty!

have you ever capsized in a canoe or a kayak?

not guilty

Have you ever broken a body part?
Guilty, my arm when I was a (rather accident-prone) kid, falling off a 2 inch step.

Have you ever had to go to the ER?

Can you identify all the deciduous trees in your area whose leaves are turning colors?

Not guilty, but I love looking @ them all.

Are you a "birder?"

guilty, I love watching birds and listening to their songs ... but I don't/can't identify them ... my excuse is that I didn't begin early in life!

Did you learn to swim as a child?

guilty - @ day camp (4 summer seasons of day camp)

Do you still dress up in costume for Halloween?

Not guilty. Halloween is not that big in Europe outside of UK and where I live now, although it is gaining popularity, it is mainly for kids and students to dress up and party. As I am none of the above any more, I am rather expected to store a proper supply of sweets as treats to buy out from tricks as kids come to my door hoping for a chocolate or two :)
But I help my daughter and her friends with costumes when they go out.

Do you tend to observe holidays culinary traditions (or just eat whatever you like)?

guilty

Do you have difficulty keeping up with all of the skating coverage during the GP series?

Winter (but we DID get to go to part of one Summer Olympics - 1996 in Atlanta, GA, USA - Back then we had a cousin who lived in the area, so we applied for tickets. It was by lottery, so we got to see some judo, weight-lifting, basketball, field hockey, track & field, and some of the individual gymnastic finals. Our seats for the gymnastic finals were way up high so we had to use our binoculars to read the socres on the jumbotron. After the Olympics we visited our cousin for a few days & drove home).

Have you ever waited more than an hour for a bus?

Oh, I just realized I mixed up the games, sorry!!! And thank you!!! :)

Guilty. But it was very long time ago...

Do you ever defend an opinion you do not really share, just for the sake of an interesting discussion? ;)
