Oh no, a bit of a disaster skate for Tatsuya - he had an outside shot at some assignments with his GP medal, and I wonder if the pressure just got to him a bit today. He did well to recover with a really lovely combo, and kept on pushing his PCS marks in the steps.
He has a good chance of increasing from one GP (this season) to two GPs (Olympic season) due to the fact he is 5th in SB out of skaters from Japan 🤗

Love me some flashy Spanish music. Not sure I love the wailing baby singer however.

22. 大島 光翔 Kosho Oshima (Meiji University)

Kosho took us to Spain, the club, and then back to Japan in under three minutes - he's such a great performer and can engage with the audience like no other skater here. His jumps also looked really strong, just a few little errors started to creep in there at the end of the program as he got perhaps a bit too excited

23. 島田 高志郎 Koshiro Shimada (Kinoshita Group)

SP: "You're Just Too Good to Be True" by Shawn Mendes; choreo by Stephane Lambiel, Shae-Lynn Bourne

This program works so well for Koshiro, it really seems to match his personality and is a nice departure from a lot of other mens' programs. Those two falls will really hurt, but at least he pulled in for everything and you wouldn't have known he fell based on his performance throughout the program.

Oh Shimada you are so smooth and endearing, but you have to be firm with the jump landings or they will escape you as they have today. May this be the year you finally learn this once and for all.
