Fun fact: that's Nobu's first clean quad in Nationals SP...... ever. He popped and fell on it the last 3 years he competed and included a quad in the SP.

So glad I stayed up to watch this. Always loved Nobu's enthusiasm. Perfect run through other than a small glitch with the second sleeve coming down. Fabulous fun! Boys - that is how a champion competes. I hope Nobu's young son enjoyed seeing Daddy put on a great show!

I think in the race for quads and tech, too many have forgotten what just damn good fun a skater can give us. Nobu has the experience and he knows.

Wow, Rio, this was an absolute redemption skate from his skate at the Final! That was the best I've ever seen his jumps, and he really threw himself into that step sequence! I'm so happy to see him smiling again.
