2024-25 Russian Nationals Pairs Free Skate

This is the worst overall comp I've seen Boi/Koz skate in a very long time. Something is seriously off with them this week.

Yes they could fight for bronze. Now Kh/K get if it's not a total disaster.

Or even silver.

Even with mistakes, the lifts from some of these teams just make me gasp. No other pairs in the world do lifts like these.

They really tend to melt at the most undesirable moments. This wasn't some kind of a disaster, it was still quite good but a lot under their level.

It weas better than their previous GP stage, at least the free, but below their level.

Despite the missed season, I would be surprised to see Kh/K not winning a medal.

It could even be a silver if not the fall.

Khabibullina/Knyazhuk took their chance. One fall but compared to B/K it makes obvious it's better to make one bigger mistake and rest clean than three smaller mistakes.

They're on fire! Molodtsy! I wish it for Ilya - he was crying last year for missing a medal.

Even with the fall, I would put that ahead of B/K. And not by that small of a margin. I really mean it.
Judges might not end up agreeing with me, but right now, I don't care about that.

Her throw landing was remarkably soft and smooth as well. Pity for the SBS fall.

I disagree with that score. They should have been second. But, they are the future.

I wanted them to be above B/K but they weren't better unfortunately. Too big UR on the loop, lutz edge, the spin. And PCS for sure.
