It has been announced that Notte Stellata will be held 7-9 March 2025 at Sekisui Heim Super Arena in Miyagi. Although the cast apart from Yuzu has not yet been announced, many of the same skaters appeared in both 2023 and 2024 and I am hopeful that we will see them again (though maybe not Jason if he is prepping for Worlds, we'll see).

Oh, this is great news indeed! I wonder if there is going to be a livestream for China like it was last year and like they just announced for the Hiroshima show on January 5! Would be awesome!

Notte Stellata cast announced, again it seems to be many of those Yuzuru feels most close to and trusts, which is quite a compliment: Javier Fernandez, Jason Brown, Shae-Lynn Bourne Turok, Satoko Miyahara, Akiko Suzuki, Keiji Tanaka, Takahito Mura, Rika Hongo, Violetta Afanasieva (I first saw Violetta at the first NS and I love her 🩷)

This is wonderful news indeed. I love Notte Stellata and I'm really happy to see it has become a stable date in the Japanese shows calendar by now and may be sort of expected in early March even before it is announced.
I am also very happy to see the same friends joining Yuzu again and I wonder if they also have made a sort of stable entry in their schedules for this event by now. I will be very happy to see each one of them! But I am particularly grateful to Jason for finding the time as he still participates in competitions and will be preparing for Worlds by then, I guess.
I wonder if Yuzu is going to have a special guest for Notte Stellata this year, too, and who it might be this time.
For those more curious, here's a link to the show's website.

The guest performer for Notte Stellata 2025 is Mansai Nomura! (I’m so excited here).

Context: Nomura Mansai II (二世 野村 萬斎, Nisei Nomura Mansai, born April 5, 1966 under the name Takeshi Nomura (野村 武司, Nomura Takeshi)) is a well known Kyogen stage actor, and film actor. He played Abe no Seimei in Onmyoji and Onmyoji 2, an original work by Baku Yumemakura. He received the Best Actor prize at the Blue Ribbon Awards for his work in Onmyoji.

He is Yuzuru’s reference for SEIMEI.

Tokyo Sports posted an article about this announcement:

Of course NTV News reported it too:

Notte Stellata 2025 promo video started to be broadcast on the terrestial TV in Japan :)

Choosing pictures from Notte Stellata (the program) at Notte Stellata 2024 (the show) was a safe choice, as it is likely that Yuzuru Hanyu will skate it again next year.
Here it is from 2024, in the same settings as 2025, still available until March, in the English version:

This is true that Notte Stellata is bound to be skated there! Now everyone is expecting Seimei to make a big comeback at this year's show due to the announced participation of Mansai Nomura as the special guest! It is the tradition of Notte Stellata by now that the special guest is not a skater and Yuzuru makes a special collaboration programme with them nevertheless, performed partly on the ice and partly on a different kind of stage.
For those who don't know or don't remember, Mansai Nomura is a renown actor and dancer, widely considered to be a master of traditional Kyogen theatre in Japan. He played the role of Seimei in the Onmyoji movies which Seimei music comes from. Shae Lynn Bourne used the movies as an inspiration for her choreography and Yuzuru consulted Mansai Nomura as he prepared to bring Seimei to the ice in his iconic programme. And it seems they've been holding each other in very high regard ever since. So here we are to have two Seimeis on the stage! No wonder many people expect the collaboration to relate to this one way or another, and get ready for a real treat as they are both so exquisite and genius performers... :)

Here's a video of their conversation when young Yuzu is taking advice from the older master. It is extremely interesting and I think it can offer a very precious insight into Japanese understanding of dancing and stage presence going way beyond any given programme or any given show, or any given dance genre, it seems. So I think this sub-forum and this thread is a great place to share it. The vid titled "The Essence of Performance" is 50 minutes long and subtitled in English. A true gem, enjoy!

It will be interesting to see Shae Lynn meeting (maybe for the first time) the actor who was the original inspiration for the work she choreographed too 🥰

That's right! I did not think about it but it means Shae Lynn will also get to meet him! I guess it may be very interesting for them all. A three-piece collaboration, maybe?

As Takahito Mura doesn't have a Fan Fest yet, and I don't feel able to open one, and as he's one of the very few guest skaters at Notte Stellata every year, I share the news here, that he's announced his remarriage. I wish him and his wife a very happy married life!

This is all fine to celebrate him here in this thread and it is a very welcome celebration but it seems he does have an FF here

Tomorrow, January 7, ticket sales start for this year's Notte Stellata shows on March 7, 8 and 9.
More info on the official website
Maybe a good occasion to look back to the few selected official videos from the last year shows which are still available on YouTube channel of Nippon TV, although for limited time only due to copyright restrictions. As Notte Stellata itself has been linked earlier here , and for good reasons as it gave title to the whole series of the shows, here are two more....

Notte Stellata March 2025 tickets going on sale today in Japan has been just announced also by the Beijing Business Today official X account!
After Toyo Keizai, Japanese business weekly known as the Asian equivalent to British The Economist, now seemingly Chinese business media also join on Yuzuru Hanyu bandwagon! No wonder, if you think of his tremendous success with Chinese fans!
Yuzu, you rock! :rock::rock::rock:

In the true spirit of the charity show given to disaster victim support and disaster prevention, Towa Pharmaceuticals, one of the main sponsors of Notte Stellata 2025, has announced that goods sold at the venue will be mainly those helpful in a case of a disaster emergency (plus local food from Miyagi Prefecture ) :)
This is great to see how sponsors also respect and uphold the intentions of Yuzuru and the charity nature of the show.
