Notte Stellata | Mar 7-9, 2025

In the true spirit of the charity show given to disaster victim support and disaster prevention, Towa Pharmaceuticals, one of the main sponsors of Notte Stellata 2025, has announced that goods sold at the venue will be mainly those helpful in a case of a disaster emergency (plus local food from Miyagi Prefecture ) :)
This is great to see how sponsors also respect and uphold the intentions of Yuzuru and the charity nature of the show.

They seem to have also given extra funding to the show, as the 2025 edition will be officially named: Towa Pharmaceutical presents Notte Stellata 2025.

It makes me think that maybe, just maybe, this might point to Chinese livestream happening again next to the Japanese one?
With Chinese fans, the numbers are always impressive, and such a stream is a wonderful promotion not just for Yuzu, other skaters and their common cause, but also for the show sponsors, of course, and the Chinese market is always tempting.... but this is just my uninformed guess... I don't even know if Towa has any business in China (or is planning to have) :)
But maybe there are completely different reasons for such a development, maybe they just wanted to take the role of the main sponsor and get a special place in all the promo materials and such with regard to Japan, who may know....

In this particular case, I wonder, because I don't think that Towa Pharmaceuticals is aiming at the Chinese market at all.

There is a special package and a separate page for those applying for the Notte Stellata tickets from overseas so look out for announcements on the official website and SMN accounts and use proper links.
If you apply for the tickets, please be careful to provide your name exactly as it stands in your passport as there will be an ID check at the entry and the name in your ID must match the name on the ticket. This is becoming a regular protocol at Yuzuru shows to prevent "black market" reselling of the tickets for absurd prices with the demand so high.
Still, if you buy a ticket now, and then it turns out you cannot go, you can submit your ticket to an official resell facility and get a refund of the official price, while they change the name on the ticket to the new buyer's.
Please be careful and fingers crossed for everyone's luck in the lottery!

I wonder if this isn't an involuntary leak by eplus, a ticket seller, who said that Yuzuru Hanyu and Nomura Mansai were to collaborate on a kyogen project directed by the latter for Notte Stellata 2025:

I don't remember that we had had any hint on the content of their collaboration.

I don't think this is a leak though, more like an educated guess. Since Mansai will direct the collab, it is unlikely to have Mansai on ice, isn't it? (We know Yuzu will do his part on ice based on the previous experience though.

Speaking of Mansai,Nomura, here is what has just turned up at my doorstep i.e. my YouTube feed. Here is the original Seimei dance from the movie, I think edited a bit, as improvised by Mansai, the one which later inspired Yuzu and Shea Lynn. A real gem!
I'm really so curious to see what they will create together!

In fact, I didn't even know that Nomura Mansai would direct the collaboration.

Notte Stellata official account has just announced there will be rehearsals open to the public this year like they were last year.
Tickets are to be sold separately by lottery, of course, and there will also be international tour package plans containing rehearsal tickets.
Those who have applied for the tour packages already and would like to change their plan to include the rehearsal, are welcome to do so using a link which was sent to their emails.
More info on the website :)

These tour packages with JTB (a long time organiser of Figure Skating themed tours) have the reputation of being much easier to get than going through lotteries, way more expensive, and to choose mediocre accommodation.

I guess many fans would gladly put up with mediocre accommodation as a price for a ticket which is so hard to get :)

This is exactly this. Also, people who don't feel really at ease with some online registration, appreciate the ease of the process. I believe that they are the reason why Notte Stellata sells them group tickets, while they could very easily sell them with the rest of the tickets. I don't know what is Yuzuru Hanyu's weight in the organisation of Notte Stellata, regarding the sale of tickets, but I know that he has very much at heart an accessibility to a very diverse public, from Japan and abroad, of all ages...

And of course 'mediocre accommodation' in Japan is not likely to equate to mediocre in quite a few other places including my own...

No, it's not as if it was filthy or full of bed bugs, it's rather, a worn-out decoration, a so-so breakfast and the like (paper-thin walls being a standard in Japan); that's why I wrote mediocre, not outright bad (which I've seen reported in Japan, yes; particularly around Ueno station in the North of Tokyo, where hotels are so busy all the time that they just don't care in spite of the high fares). We may suppose that they buy the cheaper bulk of bedrooms available in the intermediate/business hotel category. As they are sponsors of the show, I hope that their contribution is high enough, for the disaster relief.

Well, I recall there is some international conference on the prevention of natural disasters scheduled in Sendai on the same weekend as Notte Stellata, and for the same reasons, and just when the show was announced for this year, there was info sent to participants by the organizers to secure their accommodation early as it will be very difficult to find it because of the show. I guess, at this point many people will be just happy to have any decent place to stay, especially as it comes with the tickets :)
