Skater #16 (UAE) was wearing all black.
That was really good. I really enjoyed that programme.
She looks very happy waiting for her scores.
She goes into 2nd position, 0.56 points behind the leader.
So the two international skaters are currently 1-2. Estonia leads from the UAE.

I don't know the music that Skater #18 was skating to, but I am pretty sure it must be from one of the Spiderman films. Because she was wearing a dress version of the Spiderman suit!

I really enjoyed that! She was really good!

Skater #25 has spoiled the dream story that was building for the Estonian sisters.
We have a new leader.
That said, it was well deserved. She was really good!

What an event for the Ivannikova sisters! The 3 girls that were here are all going back home to Estonia with medals!
The oldest sister Vilena won the
Bronze Medal in Advanced Novices yesterday.
The younger middle sister Amelina won the
Silver Medal in Cubs 1 this afternoon.
The youngest sister Abriana won the Silver Medal in Chicks 2 this morning.
The older middle sister Venetta was not competing.

Just started playing catch-up on the boys, and I don't know what was going on, but there was a big delay between the Warm-Up finishing and the first skater starting.
And then they forgot to put the sound back on when he did start!
Right, they realised 40 seconds into his programme.

The Day 6 action started an hour and a half ago, but I've only just arrived.
The second skater in Group 3 of the Basic Novice 3 Ladies FS, Skater #14, is in the middle of her programme.
I'm actually going to wind back to the start of this group and play catch-up.

I know I'm about 20 minutes behind, but I just have to comment about Skater #18's programme.
It was very strange. Like her choreographer just decided to do a mish-mash of everything that popped into their head.
Her starting position was lying back down on the ice waving her legs in the air like a dying fly.
Then the music from "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly" started. And you thought "eh? I would never have guessed cowboy music from her costume". She was wearing a white and blue dress, with a bit of black thrown in around the neckline.
Then the music changed to an electro-violin piece.
I have absolutely no idea what that programme was supposed to be about.
Anyway, she and the girl on after her had a massive hug. And curiously enough, they have the same first name.
She went into 4th position.

Just as a follow up, after Skater #19 came off the ice after doing her programme, she went into the results area. Ahd next thing you knew, Skater #18 came running in and they had another massive hug. And then she left again.
They had different grown-ups and fellow skaters joining them, so I don't think they are team-mates. They must just be good friends.
Skater #19 went into 7th position. And started crying when the scores were announced.

Now that's a first.
The final skater in Basic Novice 3, Skater #26, was skating to "This Is Me" from "The Greatest Showman". But she was dressed as the circus master. Normally it is only ever male skaters that are skating to "The Greatest Show" that dress as the circus master.
She was really good. I enjoyed that programme.
She is having fun playing with her cuddly toys while waiting for her scores. And a long wait it is too!
But it was worth the wait. She wins!!!
And she was not expecting that. The reaction was priceless!

And with that resurfacing, I'm now caught up.
Basic Novice 2 girls are now starting.
I forgot to say, we only have 2 international skaters in action today, both of whom are Emirati girls competing in Intermediate Novices. So, all the Basic Novice competitions are completely composed of Turkish skaters.

I wonder if Skater #1 and Skater #11 are sisters.
I can't seem to find out. But, I can tell you something, Skater #1 is not a happy bunny. She was sitting there with her arms folded and a face like a Lurgan spade.
I actually liked her programme. But, she probably knows better than I do whether it went well or not.

Skater #2 was wearing a beautiful black dress, and skating to "Dernière Danse" by Indila. (Although we have had quite a few Indila programmes this week, I think this is the first time we have had one to her most famous song).
There is no denying it, she was out of her depth. But she was loving every minute of the experience!
The whole time she was waiting for her scores, she looked so happy. She never stopped smiling.
And her fellow skaters that were with her were so happy for her too.
This is what it is all about!
She went into 2nd and last position, with 1.50 points in deductions and a TSS that was in single figures. But she didn't care!

Erm, what's going on?
The final skater in Group 1 has got her scores, and she and her coach have left. And we have just been looking at an empty results area for ages.
Where is the Group 2 Warm-Up? I don't see any skaters on the ice creeping into shot through the glass at the side.
There aren't any resurfacings scheduled during this competition.
Perhaps I should be going to have my breakfast. But I want to see Group 2 LIVE (for reasons that will become clear soon).

I can tell you something, Skater #11 has a lot of support in the audience. There were chants for her when she was introduced. And again when she finished.
She is wearing a mainly white dress, with grey patches down the sides.
That was really good.
Nah, I don't think she is Skater #1's sister. She has a different coach with her.
She also has lots and lots of team-mates with her. How is there room for all of them?!

Even without the circumstances, that was an amazing skate.
I have to be honest, I was expecting her to withdraw. Now I know why she didn't.
She is the new leader.

Something has gone wrong with the stream. The pictures are way behind the audio. The music finished and the audience started applauding, and we were still seeing Skater #15 skating away.
